Lovely cosy pub, great choice of drinks

I understand where its located and it's busy, also it's Sunday, however were in 2023 and I say this about every pub that does roasts, you should be prepared and not run out, same with mashed potato. However I had the beef and ale pie and it was lovely... Staff were excellent and friendly.

The staff are amazing, food is out of this world. One amazing chef in the kitchen both meals where perfect. Top service well recommended. Not even left the building yet but can praise this pub/restaurant.

Had a great lunch here today, sat outside in sunshine. Could not fault the food will definitely be going back!!

Only visited for a birthday treat of tea and cakes. All were excellent.
Handy for Harrogate centre. Visitors get free parking but guests have to pay. 🥴

Food very nice, however no check-back done by the waitress / server; wife’s peas were slightly underdone, but all in all I would go back. The Fish, Chips ‘n’ Mushy Peas that my Mum had looked fantastic - just like a chippy :)

Had lunch here on a day trip to the area, looking specifically for this place after seeing the menus of various pubs online first. This had the most reasonable prices of all of them and I really wanted the butternut squash, beetroot and spinach risotto! I wandered all round Bakewell and must have seen every pub going before I found the Castle Inn, which seemed to be more on the edge of town. It was worth the trawl around though, I absolutely loved the place. The staff were friendly, the toilets were clean and most importantly the risotto was fabulous! I only wish I lived nearer so that I could have it again.....

Dinner here on Sunday, despite no roasts (it was early evening and other posts had indicated they run out) lovely food and atmosphere ensured we had a good evening
