S&s Kitchen

We went here on a Saturday evening at around 7pm. There were a few other customers, but it wasn’t busy. The food was delicious, the portion sizes were just right. The service was great; we didn’t have to wait long and the waitress was friendly and polite. Between the 2 of us we ordered a main each, 1 dessert to share, a pint of Red Stripe and a bottle of Carib Lager. The bill was £44, which is what I would expect to pay. I really like the ambience / décor; it has a holiday / summer atmosphere – I think we’ll going back in the winter to make the most of the sunny vibe!

Lovely place, nice atmosphere and great food. Unfortunately, the service is pretty slow. We arrived and we were only one of two tables in the whole restaurant, Yet we still waited half an hour for a drink. The third round we waited 20 mins and the order was incorrect. However, great food. Staff are lovely just pretty slow and forgetful.

Fun restaurant. Had the prawn starters and oxtail pot - both of which had good texture and full of flavour, if not on the small side. Drinks were a bit expensive, £3.50 for bottled non-alcoholic juice. The decoration and presentation of the place is colourful and loud. The place was relatively clean. Service was good, the bathrooms were clean and hygienic.

Apart from the view out of the window and the lower temperature, we thought we could have been back in Jamaica. We shared a platter that was both tasty and excellent value, along with a Red Stripe and 2-4-1 Jamaica Rum Punch cocktails. The restaurant is comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated to match the theme of the food. We'll definitely be back, as it's difficult to find an authentic Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant near to us.
