Casa De Plata

Went on a Tuesday night. We were the only people there. Pro: we went with Mexican dishes. Chicken enchiladas with green chili sauce and three street tacos. Carne asada, El pastor, carnitas. We were not disappointed. Good size portions and tasty. I ordered a large beer and got a full liter! 2 people, food drinks, $42. Con: Place needs to pick a menu and go with it. We joked that we could hear Gordon Ramsey reading the menu. It's a combo sushi, seafood, pasta, Mexican food place. Don't know about you but I don't trust fresh fish coming into the desert. The decor was not really Italian. LOTS of tvs so it could be a sports bar. Those are pretty lamps you have. I thought the Mexican food was good. Maybe go with it. Or if you are going to be a sports bar, be a sports bar. Heck be a Mexican sports bar. Casa de La Liga! Strangely enough I would go back. Those trashcan nachos sound good. I am always wanting to support local restaurants over chains that are popping up all over.

This restaurant is right around the corner from where we live. It's too hot to come out and we wanted something for dinner. I placed our order for delivery. I love oysters Rockefeller and they didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the oysters were just devine and my husband loved his ribeye sandwich.

This is the Aguachile Green Sauce. Let's just say this dish is why I come here any chance I get. It is extremely expensive to me for the portion size (because it used to be bigger) but it's still my favorite. Order the "MEDIUM" spice! The "Spicy" is almost painful. And that's coming from a Mexican who loves Spicy foods. The only thing I didn't like was the water. It tasted nasty or unclean. So I suggest drinking their strawberry Fanta or alcohol beverages. Avoid their water. But overall, the people are nice, the food is great, the manager is fun, they have outdoor seating, it's clean, I love it! This is my favorite place in the West Side of AZ. The only reason I cannot give them 5 stars is the time it took to get my food. It was very slow, but it still took 30 minutes to get my plate. Now onto the good stuff. The food was so worth the wait. I had the Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas with rice and beans. Everything had so much flavor. They also have a good happy hour here with great specials. If you're out on the westside of town, I would recommend this place to any of you out there.
