India Cafe

One of the true hidden gems of Augusta! The formerly India Cafe reopened after Covid as the International Cafe with a more eclectic menu but maintaining superior food and service quality. Music videos from India add to the pleasant atmosphere. This fine little restaurant, seven tables and rarely a wait for seating, is owned and run solely by two delightful people. Sebastian greets and serves; Priya prepares every dish. After your first or second visit you will likely feel almost like family as, time permitting, she will visit each table to ensure everything is prepared to individual tastes. Portions are generous; the prices are very reasonable. The recently expanded wine menu is also very reasonably priced. A complimentary dessert is customary. We have dined here regularly for years and have never left disappointed. Highly Recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal from Indian Cafe. We were disappointed that they were takeout only during the pandemic, but the owners were very sweet and gracious. The food was tasty and they threw in lots of extras so we did not feel like we were missing out. We will definitely be back when driving through Augusta again. Stop in and support a wonderful local businesses :-)

One of my favorite places to eat. A lovely older couple run this place. And you get the sense you're eating an authentic Idian home cooked meal. I've loved everything I've tried. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try Indian cuisine. Only thing is be prepared to wait a little. They are under staffed for serving a bigger crowd, but it's worth the wait.

Great authentic Indian food. We come hear at least twice a month and the food is always great. We tried several dishes and they all are very tasty. The owners are a wonderful friendly couple, the wife is the awesome cook and her husband serves. It is a real family atmosphere. We are so happy we found this jewel tucked away in a corner.

We have been guests at India Cafe for years, and we continue to be impressed by the delicious and creative dishes, generous portions and the friendly owners. It's a husband wife team, and they will get to know you if they have time. There's a good variety of vegetarian as well as meat, chicken, and fish. It's small, only a few tables, and if it's busy you had better not be in a hurry.
