Rainbow Cafe

Found it with Google search & decided to try. In the heart if downtown... good street 2 hour free parking (was there on a Saturday). Place been in business since 1929 Yes there us a bar/lounge for Adult beverages with breakfast! I had the Country Fried Steak breakfast with home fries. My eggs were not done to my request and my server immediately took my plate and shouted back "Shee needs her eggs a bit more done" and then they were perfect!👏

Update: The manager is very nice and professional. He apologized for the service and delay and said if the food isn't good we could return for a full refund. Thankfully the food was good so no need for a refund. Biscuits and gravy are light on gravy but still very good and the corned beef hash is great. Poor customer service. They're rude and won't take a to go order over the phone. Went in and placed an order to be told it would be ready in a few minutes and still no food after 45 minutes. If you have all day to spend at a cafe, this might be a good place for you.

We LOVE this cafe!!! It is a fixture in Auburn and has been for all my many years. This is just good home cooking. I especially enjoy breakfast here. 2 eggs big portion of hashbrowns, 4 strips thick cut bacon, cooked just right, and toast. Service is a bit limited due to not many wait staff but worth the wait!

The Food was good. The service was lacking! Sat in the bar. We were ignored, forgotten and overlooked. Regulars were talked too, joked with and bantered back and forth, we were ignored. Simple requests for napkins, refill, or a condiment was forgotten and had to be reminded many times. I used to really enjoy this place, I hadn't been here in a couple years, unfortunately this places service has gone down hill! I'll wait another few years before I go back, maybe the turn over will lead to better service. The Food was just as good as I remembered though! Atleast that stayed the same.
