High end restaurant if you're looking for a night to remember. Best service I ever had and we're talking over 75 restaurants visited in Atlanta. My daughter had a shrimp cocktail and she said it was okay. My girlfriend had the Oysters and wasn't to impressed. All our steaks were cooked exactly how we wanted them. The side dishes are definitely for a group of at least 5 people. Try the mushrooms. No military discount, but the guy worked off over $45 on the bill. Nice gesture. Great experience and I'd go back.

I am visiting from Chicago and had an absolutely remarkable experience at Marcel. From the moment we arrived to our departure, the dining experienced was engaging, personalized, and intentional. The wait staff, led by Nick, did a tremendous job of treating my friend and I like old friends. They all were attentive without being overly disruptive. The courses were all delicious. As someone who enjoys dining at high-end steakhouses all around the country, this experience was the BEST I have ever had. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the sides were tremendous. Nick’s recommendation of an off menu drink (The Last Word) elevated the experience even further. Incredible drink! Concluding with the sticky toffee cake and chocolate cake, everything was fantastic and memorable. I can’t wait to return for another experience at Marcel. Thank you!

I love the ambiance and it was good, but I will say I had higher expectations as a Michelin-recommended restaurant at this price point. Service: Our original dinner plans fell through; so we were a walk-in but were seated immediately. Our server was good and had excellent recommendations. I had a white and a red wine by the glass, poured by two different people. The white was nearly double the pour of the red, which was the last glass of the bottle. I expected him to return to top it off, but that didn’t happen. Disappointing for a $20+ glass. But generally great service, in my opinion. Food: This isn’t one of those fancy restaurants with tiny portions. These are generous plates. I enjoyed the escargot—it was not chewy or salty whatsoever, and had a pleasant herbaceous, garlic, earthy broth. The burger was great. I mean, it was a $38 burger with no sides, so I would expect it to be. I’d go again and sit at the bar to split a burger and fries, which is an odd thing to say about a high-end French restaurant. The au jus and marrow aioli make it a treat. The steak frites was underwhelming for the price point. The cut is a spinalis, the cook was rare on a medium rare order, some pieces were a bit chewy, and it was absolutely slathered in the sauce verte. I’d try it on the side and/or go for the au poivre. It was a lot (see pic). For $50, it isn’t really comparable to Tiny Lou’s ($55, 13 oz NY strip), or even the $34 Salt Factory hanger steak with chimichurri. I’m sure I will come back again, but as a steak frites girl who has had this dish hundreds of times, that won’t be what I get.

The star dish for me was the porterhouse steak. Perfectly cooked & seasoned. The seafood appetizer was also fresh & delicious. We started with a round of cocktails and then a bottle of Merlot. I didn't love my gin cocktail. It was served in a tall glass with a lot of ice. I found it hard to sip on and the ice quickly watered down the drink. I'm not a huge fan of ice in gin drinks. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their cocktails though. For sides, we ordered pommes frites, asparagus, and mushrooms. The asparagus and mushrooms were delicious, but I was a bit disappointed by the fries. After hearing that they were twice fried, I found them to be a bit mushy and flavorless. The desserts were delicious. Chocolate cake & sticky toffee pudding with a dessert wine. Overall, great customer service and delicious food would recommend it.

What an experience!! Service and food are unreal, thought is put into everything they do. From the moment you sit down you are treated so well and food is delicious and steaming hot when it gets to the table. Celebrating my anniversary with my husband here and they surprised us with the stampped menus and gave us a complimentary drink, amazing so say the least!

I had a dinner date here in May and it was so wonderful. We have been checking off Ford Fry restaurants and this was a great experience and delicious food. We each ordered a cut of steak and tried 2 different potatoes- the whipped one with cheese was a MUST. We tried escargot for the first time and it was delicious too. The bread service was out of this world. The staff was very courteous of our time and helped answer any questions we had. We will definitely be returning for special events.
