Good breakfast, old school diner feel. My gf and I enjoyed our time here. We were seated right away, got good fast service, overall a pleasant experience.

The food was good overall. The decor seemed dated, but perhaps that is part of the overall vibe. As a customer in a modern restaurant, I expect to have the option to pay by debit or credit card; if not, I'd like to know that VERY clearly upfront Unfortunately, I didn't find that out until after my meal. I was then told there was an ATM down the street I could use. So I ended up a quarter block from the people I ate with, standing in the cold, being charged $4.00 extra to get the cash to pay for my meal. I hope this will help someone enjoy their experience more than I did.

This is a true downtown diner. If you like diner. We had breakfast and everything was delicious: cooked to order and generous portions. Fair pricing and good service. It looks like an older diner inside, so be aware before you go in.

Athens’ finest home cooking. Feels like you’re stepping back in time - I can only assume that the decor has stayed the same over the years the family has been running the restaurant. Love it. Cash only! (Food on paper plates due to COVID)

The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly. They were very welcoming when we came in and the service was quick. My spouse and I tried to eat here last year but they were extremely busy (Sunday afternoon), but we were determined to try this restaurant. Just know that they are cash only.

We literally stumbled into this restaurant while walking down the street …it was sooo cold outside and we were looking for a warm place to eat while waiting for our granddaughter at State Honor Chorus on the UGA campus. The setting is outdated but the food is delicious..best pancakes I’ve ever had and fluffy eggs. The coffee was so good too. We were greeted with kindness and enjoyed our meal very much…I highly recommend this mom and pop restaurant!! Just be sure and have CASH!! No credit/debit accepted. Fortunately we did. 😊

Best breakfast we had in awhile and we are Chattanooga TN but when we visit Nicholson we will most defiantly be back for breakfast. Best food by far.
