This is by far the best Mexican food I had in the whole city of New York. Please go at least once. You won't regret it.

Cecina burrito = Heaven
The food at El Mariachi is solid and they give you a lot for your money. I ordered the cecina (salty beef) burrito 🌯 and it was not only delicious but also MASSIVE. You can easily make two meals out of it.
I'm looking forward to trying some other dishes.

If you want I no frills, authentic Mexican dish, is the place. I’ve been coming here for decades and the food is fantastic. The service is amazing and overall real Mexican food.

This place is nothing short of amazing, everything from Enchiladas to Tacos and everything in between! If you are in the mood for some real mexican food this is the place for you. Staff is super nice, food is on another level. If you plan on driving beware of the parking as this neighborhood has a terrible reputation for spots. This is a must try in my book. Keep up the good work!

WOW WOW WOW!!! The best Mexican food I've had so far!! They are very clean and the workers are very welcoming and friendly! I've been there twice already and plan on going back again this week for some of the tastiest Mexican food I've ever had!!!! They give you plenty of meat and my favorite part is the guacamole on the tacos! Must try!!! 10/10!!!!

These are my favorite tacos in Astoria. I get them with the flour tortilla. They are huge. I only need 2. You can't go wrong. They are all good, but I tend to do the steak or al pastor. I haven't eaten indoors here since the start of the pandemic, but used to come frequently, now I do mostly takeout. If you want a good taco, this is a great place!

The food is so authentic (Mexican American but still) and robust, great carnitas and nachos, spicy when you need it to be, quick service. A neighborhood institution.

We are happy to live close to there.... The food is delicious but could be hoter.... The waitress is a hard worker, she was working by herself, helping a lot tables and very polite and happy...

I've had a lot of Mexican food but I really must say this is my FAVORITE. It always delivers and always hits the spot. Generous portions. Great prices. And all without sacrificing authenticity. My go to is usually a steak taco and a Oaxaca cheese tostada. Hits the spot EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I eat here at least once a week. Pictured here is the steak taco and nachos Tejanos. Delicious! There aren't many Mexican restaurants that put guacamole in there tacos. Luckly El Mariachi does! The tacos are seriously delicious. They let you order individual tacos so you can mix and match. Unlike other Mexican restaurants we're they force you to get a set of three tacos. Service is generally good and the menu is very affordable. They have three maragitas for $10 for happy hour which is pretty sweet. Parking is not the best. Take the train especially if your going for happy hour.
