Squire Shoppe Bakery

Unassuming little neighborhood bakery, to the point I didn't realize it was after driving past it the first time. There are a number of fresh baked breads and other staples, but we ended getting an assorted dozen donuts, which seemed to be the largest section of said bakery. They weren't the best donuts I've ever tasted, but they were still quite good, and the fact that the dough itself wasn't very sweet provided a nice counterbalance to the toppings and fillings. Add on a very good price, and this is place is worth a try.

The donuts are always fresh and the service is always personal. This donut shop is a community institution, it has been here for as long as I can remember. Other donut shops have come and gone over the years but this one just stays and stays. They have the almost perfect donuts not too sweet, not too big they are the just right donut. Plus you can get other baked goods and everything is just fantastic. When I have guests from out of town this is where I bring them and they always love the donuts, best donuts in Ashtabula city.

We went for the donuts and were not disappointed. The apple fritters were about the size of a small child’s head. They also have cakes to order which I haven’t done, but would try in the future. The Boston cream was fantastic, lots of filling. Service was quick and friendly and they also cash in lottery tickets. Cheers!

Who doesn't like good donuts. Squire Shoppe has more to offer then friendly staff and sweet treats. My wife and I love there pizza crust for make your own pizza night. The rolls and bread are always good. On this trip we got a brownie for my son.This is a good place stop after shopping in the Ashtabula harbor.
