Ambrozia Bar & Bistro

I ate at Ambrozia while passing through Asheville and waiting for a specific shop to open - not knowing anything about it, but pleasantly surprised! I had the 4-course Sunday brunch. The serving sizes were ample, starting with a basket of mini-bread and muffin bites, followed by super-fresh green salad of arugula and spinach, topped with apple slices, parmigiano, and candied nuts (yum!) My main course choice was the chilaquiles, which were like a meaty breakfast nachos - full of flavor, not too spicy, good to the last greasy bite. Dessert was the berry creme brulee. I'm not a huge creme brulee fan, but i love berries which made this selection a delicious creamy but bright finish. All in all, delightful. I'm sorry I live so far away, as the regular menu looks like something I'd keep going back for, considering my experience with the food and first rate service. Bravo Ambrozia!

Incredible experience from start to finish. Had been meaning to go here for a while, and finally made it in. Went for Sunday brunch and exceeded expectations. Wait staff was great and the set up of brunch really set it apart from other places I have been to in the area. Both the savory and sweet items were spectacular. Would give recs, but menu changes by the week, so would just tell you that, based on everything we had, you can't make a wrong choice. Will be heading back to try dinner next time we are in town. Great place!

Ambrozia is very well organized. The staff is extremely friendly and the service was knowledgable/prompt. Our server Jonny was informative, polite, and always had a smile on his face. We ordered small plates from the bar menu which had very reasonable pricing, and they were mindful of my wife's lactose-intolerance. The menu offers some larger meal options as well as some appetizers. Each day of the week they seem to offer a special. Wednesday is 1/2 off bottles of wine and Thursday was advertised as $2 drafts. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already, and afterwards you can walk to the bird sanctuary or around beaver lake. Great location, competitive pricing, and exceptional staff.

I love their brunch. I’ve always loved their brunch. Today we again, went to brunch, and it couldn’t have been better. In fact, it was probably THE BEST meal I’ve ever had there. Not to mention, everyone from the host, to the bartender who greeted us immediately as we sat at the bar, to the other bartender who served us while we waited to be seated (their Bloody Mary is ON POINT btw), to our server who loves peanut butter as much as I do, your service was fantastic. It was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and timely from the moment we walked in the door. Thanks for a great Sunday funday!

A very pleasing menu, with many locally sourced ingredients. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny! An extensive wine list, as well as mixed drinks and beer. We had the dessert sampler and it was all fantastic. All of our party we're extremely impressed with the entire meal. A huge bonus for Asheville- easy parking!!
