Wild Ginger Noodle

I recommend this place to everyone who visits Asheville and asks me what's a good restaurant. This is my go to place. The pho is phenomenal. The vermicelli noodle salad with tofu is incredible. Every time I go I get the fresh rolls with peanut sauce. It's small but very refined, fancy yet comfortable, the ambiance is very intimate, and you're greeted with the most amazing scent when you enter, that you know you made the right choice. They are always a busy place, because their delicious food draws in crowds. However, that doesn't slow down their service, they are so kind and sweet, and know us by name, it feels like visiting family. And that's why I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Overall, excellent experience. I had the PhoTai, which was delicious. My friend had the Yakisoba Noodles, which she said was very good. The service was outstanding. After receiving my pho, our server noticed my soup had more noodles than broth, so she brought a bowl of broth and added it to my soup. She continued to check on us, without being hovering.

Amazing food, but be prepared for a long and arduous wait if you're doing the weekend dinner time thing. Showed up, got added to the wait-list, was told to come back in 30 min. Came back in 30 min, was told I'd need to wait another 30 min. No hate, I get it. Restaurants are over busy and understaffed. But it seems like the move here may be calling in your order and taking it to go on Sunday evening. For clarity, the pho here is authentic and delicious. I'll be back. It's still, to me, worth the wait.

I had Wild Ginger in my list of saved places and finally just gave it a try after coming to Lee's Asian market. I love Pho, and I noticed that many of the Pho places I tried in Western NC have a sweet broth. Maybe to appeal to the desired tastes of the locals. Not here. It is delicious, healthy, and so affordable. Definitely coming back.
