Second time we have been here. Really good food. The dishes have been carefully selected to offer that often overlooked balance that adds so much to each mouthful. It’s not pretentious, just the right atmosphere, with good staff who aren’t intrusive, but still attentive. Portion sizes are generous. Highly recommended.

We dined at The Lamplight this evening and it was just perfect. We have been quite a few times over many years, definitely want to make it a more regular occasion. The welcome on arrival was lovely and we were attended to straight away. The food was beautiful as was the service. It's a traditional restaurant that is not rushed.
Out for a meal with 2 friends . There should have been 4 of us : he defo missed out. Lovely setting , good food and lovely waitresses . The menu changes every month… so photos are from the August 22 menu . Bit of a treck for us to go from Stoke but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ( already have actually)
