Review from a person who has lived in Belgium for about a month:
I was so excited that something of this sort was opening in Apex. We went for brunch on a weekend. They have a limited parking spot. Beware, the menu is in french. Fortunately, I could read it and my wife couldn't :p The lady at the counter was not friendly and she was in some discord with the owner of the shop(of some sort). We wanted to just order and take our seat.
The owner was very friendly and kept our toddler entertained. I have no complaints about their food. We ordered the quiche and waffle with brioche cream bun. The quiche was so fluffy and it was accompanied with edible flowers which was a surprise to me. The waffles were also good. We had packed some macaroons to go.
The hot chocolates are not like your hot chocolates you would find in starbucks. Some would find them to be less sweet. But thats how hot cocoa is supposed to be !!
My wife truly enjoyed their OJ, there are indeed freshly squeezed..
I felt the place was pricier by $2 on each menu item( comparison with La Farm). We left this place feeling light.
I did happen to drop by here to do some office work and the WiFi is good.
Freshly squeezed OJ and slightly overpriced good food. But. deserves a chance.

Google Map incorrectly indicates you need to walk from the street. Turn right or left at Pemberton Hill Rd, then immediately left and continue straight.
This is a quaint, delicious cafe with excellent service.
Cafe in the best French tradition. Friendly staff to help with great breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings. Great Belgium waffle, quiche selections, croissants, wonderful coffees/lattes, chocolates.
A bit hard to see off NC 55 near US 64. It's just across the street from the NC 55 entry to Beaver Creek.

This is a wonderful cafe! Very tasty pastries! Fresh coffee! I want to come back here every day!

Summary: Very good, especially if you are particular about the authenticity of your French breakfast items. Omelettes are delicious but a bit expensive for the portion size.

Today I found myself in Apex for the very first time and longed to find a non-chain restaurant at which to find a Saturday latte. I found Belgian Cafe. From its location in a dull strip mall to its parking-lot facing sidewalk seating, it doesn't look like much from the outside. However, the interior is clean, well-lit, and styled like a modern café, and the food is top-notch.
I had a small latte ($3.84), an omelette ($8.95), and a croissant ($2.95).
-The latte was tasty but not terribly hot, and had much less foam than the standard. What it did have was dense and creamy--I only wish there had been more!
-The omelette was a daily special: kale/mushroom/Swiss. I believe they used shiitake mushrooms, which certainly kicks it up a notch on the gourmet index. The eggs were cooked with the typically French approach: unapologetic use of rich, high-fat ingredients, served in modest portions. It was about half the size of a typical restaurant serving--made with perhaps 2 eggs--but it glistened with butter and tasted like a dream.
-The croissant had a lovely texture, with perfect layers and flakiness and a soft, fluffy interior. On the scale of Paris (10) to Epcot "Paris" (1) it rated a solid 9.4. (The French are very exact.) Its superior competitors in the area include Boulted Bread, Guglhupf, and La Farm.
Many reviews here mentioned a long wait time. I arrived around 11:30am on a Saturday and the line was quite short but the food took a while. It was quite crowded inside. Aim for a less busy hour and do try to sit inside: the strikingly uncomfortable, tiny wooden cafe chairs nearly in the parking lot are the only significant drawback to this lovely place.

I happened to pass this little cafe...if you blink you will miss it. If I were you I would write down the address right now and make sure you go. I had a slice of quiche that was to die for and they had the most beautiful looking desserts ever. I'm going to make my way back to try their Belgian waffles they look amazing. The only advice I would like to leave for the owners please please please advertise more I think that was the best lunch I've had in about 2 years. Super clean, fantastic food and a nice friendly staff. I'm telling all of my friends and you should be telling all of your friends that this is the most wonderful place again Apex. And they cater!! Fyi I did not get paid for this advertisement.

I love this place! It’s a wonderful change from the typical fast food, chain breakfast locations. The food is great, as is the coffee. It is definitely more of a sit down, relaxed atmosphere, it may take a bit longer but it’s well worth the wait (which really isn’t even that long). The portions are plenty big and I’ve never had an issue with the service, if you’re still hungry grab a delicious pastry!!

My favorite place in Raleigh!! Can't say enough good things.

Very nice breakfast and the staff is great. I had the Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, fruit, bacon, orange juice, and bread with Swiss cheese. This was a terrific breakfast. It is more money than I typically spend on this amount of food, but the quality was very nice and I left feeling full and happy. I will definitely be going back. It is worth it. Great quality.
