My Estrella

Sorry for the nice waiter who had to deliver the bad food. The tea was good (tad sweet). Chips and salsa were hopeful actually the salsa was unique almost had a pico de gallo taste. Watery though. The rice is bland as can be the beans are runny and flavorless. The beef tacos were the same..boring..and what flavor they did have wasn't special. My wife got the chicken fajitas they weren't bad, but nothing that would make me want to order them again. The kitchen back door was wide open the entire time we ate I don't know if this bothers anyone else but we didn't enjoy it. The cooks were sitting around in chairs at times..possibly eating..we heard a couple sneezes and coughs before we even got our drinks coming from the kitchen area. The kitchen staff were incredible loud too which was quite bizarre. The menus were not wiped down but the restaurant was very clean, but small almost claustrophobic. The price would be okay if for not for how the food tasted complete waste of $30 I will not return!

Terrible experience. Food was good after we FINALLY got it. We went to go eat about 5:20. There was literally nobody there except the workers. We go seated rather quickly and our chips, salsa and drinks were brought to the table. Perfect. Then we finally got to order. We ordered queso as an appetizer. It showed up 15 minutes later. Very small portion. Finished it. Finished the chips and salsa. Still waiting. No dinner yet. 5, 6,7 take out orders are brought to the front. Still we have no food. Another lady comes in and orders take out. Gets her order. We’re still sitting there. Still no dinner. 2 more take out orders get brought out. I finally ask the waitress for our bill so we could leave. She goes to the back and complains to someone that we want to leave. Comes back and says our dinner will be out in 2 minutes. We decide to stay. 5 minutes later our food arrives. All the while, the help is standing around back by the kitchen laughing and joking and having a jolly old time. No wonder nobody was there. If they want to do takeout only then they should put a sign on the door. We try to support local but that will be our last visit to Mi Estrella.

Possibly the worst food I have tasted. The rice was sticky and the chicken was dry, i was told 15-20 mins for it to be ready, I arrived 20 mins after I placed the order. When I arrived I was told the food was just getting started on. Had to wait a further 25 mins just to get this muck. This place has gone way down hill since the new chef took over. I advise bring back his sister who knows how to cook.
