We really enjoyed the experience, with fresh and delicious food. Our waitress, Maja, was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We would additionally like to praise how the sushi rice is prepared, which is much more authentic than at other restaurants we have visited in Ann Arbor, with the correct amount of sushi vinegar.
Update 06/05/2022: We particularly liked the chashu pork in the ramen and the duck fat fried chicken was succulent and juicy. The broth from the tan tan men was also very tasty.

One of the most amazing Ramen place I’ve been to in my entire life. Definitely worth a try. Their spice levels are perfect and portions too. Definitely try the Bao as well. I felt the Bao was a bit overpriced but is delicious. We had a long wait for a table and also the host messed up in noting down that we were a party of 4. But the food covered it up for us.

We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were very happy with the service and the ambience of the place. The food wasn't bad but i want to say not exceptional. The shrimp ramen lacked some flavors.. Overall it was just ok but definitely a very nice and lively olace to hang out with friends and family.

First time dining and we were not disappointed. We have been going to Ann Arbor for quite some time now and have seen Slurping Turtle and decided to give it a try. We both tried the DFFC Spicy Ramen. It was delicious. We got it on the side so it would remain crispy as well as the Chilli sauce and flakes. The environment was inviting, the staff was great and we will be back to host a small gathering in their separate section.

This is a really nice ramen shop. The atmosphere was great and the ramen was delicious. The fried chicken in duck fat was also super good. Everything was Farley priced being a college town. I would recommend giving this place a try

* good duck oil fried chicken and takoyaki
* VERY VERY VERY SALTY RAMEN omg
* certain waiter was rushing us and being rude and careless: he purposefully asked my bills while I am chewing my food and stared at me. He was very upset and tried to give us a harsh tone when we didn’t sit in the first seat he assigned. The water wasn’t added, neither.

Slurping turtle is an AA staple. Definitely has good food and a relaxed dining environment. The ahi donburi had really fresh fish and the ramen was pretty good. I think this place suits people with a milder palate, nothing is too spicy or salty.

We were only in Ann Arbor for one day and already wish we would have had more time to eat here for multiple meals! I got the classic ramen with their house made noodles and my husband got the bao. Both were delicious and we would definitely go back! (Which says a lot since we would be coming from south-central Texas!)
