Super, really good food! The drinks are amazing as well, and the price is fare. The only thing that I didn't like was the service... took too long to do a simple cocktail, and the restaurant was empty( 5 guests at that time).

Small, cozy corner place. The cocktails were fun, especially the “uncle” ones. They were Feni forward without being overtly boozy. The up n up would’ve been really swell with a bit more tartness. The Everglow was memorable The Amazing day not so much. The Sukem chicken was epic and highly recommended as is the the chilly oyster squid. The grilled kingfish and devils chicken were quite basic. Childhood dreams was quite popular with us but the frozen fantasy needs a lot of work to be appreciable

What a gem of a place! Old world charm, simple menu, delivers what it promises, everything packs a punch of flavour!!! If you haven't been here your Goa experience is incomplete. Period!

Rabinder and Gopal were absolutely fantastic hosts!..the food was to die for ..I had a mock tail called road trip -which was so refreshing that I had to ask for a second round ..followed it with some amazing Goan fish curry and ended with the desert they have named as “childhood dream” and true to its name it does take you in a beautiful nostalgic trip back to childhood ..100% recommend this place for some amazing food and grounded homely ambience !

Quaint little place on the crossing. Loved the vibe and really courteous and prompt service by Gopal and other members of staff.
The Makazai curry was fresh and flavourful and the feni jammun drink was very refreshing. Definitely coming back again soon.

One of the best restaurants, truly a great Goan experience. The butter garlic prawns, Devil's paneer and prawns, Grilled kingfish, Pomfret Goan maka zai curry and fried icecream were truly the best. Even the Baoee of Heaven and Trippple Trouble were extremely good. Loved the hospitality. Their Goan beers are also way too good. A must try place!!

Had an amazing time experience at Maka Zai. We were greeted by Gopal. He was very informative and suggested some of the best sellers of the house. From ambience to food, everything was top notch! Will surely visit this place again.

Great place for non vegetarian as well as vegetarian options. The seafood is authentically Goan cooked without any baking soda or any artificial agents. The music is great as well as the courteous staff.
Ambience wise, it reflects the old Goan look with a tinge of Portuguese essence. The antiques kept for decor add to the vibe.
Alcohol is served with complimentary tidbits and is reasonably priced.
Being located exactly at the junction is another plus point.
