Bitter Melon

Always a great experience, very hospitable owner and staff, delicious food. The restaurant feature some of the best staple food from the Philippines, keeping the menu simple and basic but they do it at the highest quality and taste. Most Filipino restaurants serve food in a cafeteria style because it takes time to prepare and cook the food properly sacrificing freshness throughout the day. But this place prepare their dishes fresh to order and this is what separates them from the rest.

Yeah I come here a lot. For many reasons. Not only for the Filipino goods but because sometimes I'm too lazy to cook them so I walk a couple feet and get Filipino food. Best of both worlds! I've watched a lot of kitchen nightmares episodes so I certainly appreciate a restaurant I trust. Tita Angela and her husband are the owners and even though you only have a quick minute to talk to them you know they care about their customers. The preparation and ingredients are thoughtful, and I can taste that in their cooking! I prepare Filipino food myself so I can tell. They understand the necessity of having a welcoming local Filipino community and it's influence, I respect that a lot.
