Sweetery

The Sweetery is usually amazing which is why I still give it 5 stars however my most recent visit was underwhelming. That visit aside, I highly recommend their six layer caramel cake. It’s very rich but absolutely delicious. It’s very convenient to be able to buy a cake, have them write a happy birthday so and so on it and sell you the candles to go with it. They make things easy. They also have a wide variety of cookies, sandwiches and soups. The parking is easy too. And the staff are usually really friendly. Those are all the strengths.

I have enjoyed the strawberry cake from here for at least 20 years now. I have never had a bad dessert here but the strawberry is the best around. The sandwiches that they have at lunch time are defiantly worth grabbing if you are there. The French Dip is my favorite. All of the staff is always welcoming and friendly .

I love The Sweetery, especially the cakes. I have been coming to get birthday cakes several times throughout the year for over 15 years and have never had a bad experience until my recent order. I called ahead to place an order for a decorative cake. In the past it hasn't been a problem. Just send the photo of what I want and they have always been able to do it. Unfortunately they could not make the cake of my choosing since they had Mother's Day orders to complete. I needed this cake a week before Mother's Day?! The cake itself looked like it was for a 6 year old, and I am 41! . It had glitter and fake bold colored daisies on it. The cake itself was very dry and hardly had any icing on it like it normally would. Not saying I won't come back, just very disappointed!!

Very friendly staff. I got super distracted by all the delicious desserts they had. So much so that I'm almost missed they provided sandwiches. I decided to be adventurous and try their bacon melon grilled cheese. It was okay, but I wouldn't recommend it. But I think that the slice of pickle on the side doesn't mix well with the melon and the grilled cheese and the bacon. I would recommend this place to anybody.
