Dancing Chopsticks

Came here with my siblings and it's a LOT of food for the price 1 Bento box could have been split between 2 other people. We loved everything but the udon noodles were lacking a bit of flavor and the Boba we got had a pearl or 2 that were uncooked. Their Boba is super cheap for how much you get though! (At least compared to what we usually get from around Riverside)

One of the best restaurants on UB's Campus. Extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity you will get. If I buy, say, Chicken Thai Fried Rice, that is 2 meals for me! The taste is amazing and the food is well-seasoned unlike other Asian food joints on-campus. Food feels fresh too. The place is one of the very few which are open all days of the week so a go-to place for a weekend worker like me.

Came here on a Saturday night for a quick dinner with a few friends. Overall, Dancing Chopsticks is a decent Chinese/Japanese restaurant. I tried a meat sampler, which had a choice of two meats (several beef, pork, chicken options cooked as katsus or with teriyaki sauce). I ordered a Tokyo Chicken and a Pork Katsu, which came out to be a little under $9. The food came pretty quickly, in a hefty square styrofoam takeout box. The meats rested on top of a large portion of white rice, taking up half of the box. The rest of the box included a lettuce salad (not too sure what the dressing was) and corn in another light, white sauce. The Food: I would have liked the Tokyo chicken more if the batter was crispier. It did hit my craving of an Orange Chicken variant, although this chicken was a little tangier than a General Tso's or Sesame chicken variation. As for the pork katsu, the breading was quite thick, making it dense. Most of it was crispy still, other than the portions that had some tonkatsu sauce drizzled onto it. I ended up taking some of their house sauce (which tastes heavily of gochujang) and dipping the katsu into that. The rice sufficed, I didn't detect any partially cooked hard grains. The salad and corn seemed to be the least memorable parts, I ate them hoping for some trace nutrients to be added to my meal. Additional amenities: They offer self serve hot tea, their house sauce and bottles of Sriracha. Seating in the restaurant is also quite spacious. I did not try any other drinks there, though they have numerous refrigerated drinks and also bubble milk teas. If I study around UB more, I'll probably end up trying more things on their menu like a noodle soup, yaki soba or their rice bowls. Worth a shot for a quick meal!
