Blue Fire Grill

We stayed a night at Amherst before taking off to see Niagara Falls, we stopped by B&B for dinner. Our experience was a positive one. The restaurant was full, good sign, we were immediately seated at the bar(beautiful lighting) and waited about 10 mins for a table. Our food was delicious. The only thing that had me wondering was the lighting were we had dinner, it was way low. I could barely see what I was eating, other than that all good, our server was attentive and present. I would definitely come back some day.

It is OK. I was kind of expecting it to be better for how many people eat dinner there. It looks like everyone in the hotel eats there. The food is mediocre at best. The beer was good, so there is that for it. I got a $10 voucher that I will use, but then I probably won't go back unless there is some reason I can't leave or order delivery from somewhere else. For a Marriott, I was expecting better.

I have eaten here twice. Both meals were great! This restaurant is part of the Buffalo/Niagra Marriott. The prices are a little high, but that is typical of hotel restaurants. It has a comfortable, spacious, open-air feel without being too exposed like some hotel lobby restaurants (I'm thinking of the San Francisco Airport Marriot). The Cobb Salad ($16) was wonderful. A lot of fresh ingredients, warm, tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a delicious dressing that isn't over-powering. Loved it. My second meal was the Beef on Weck ($13). Delicious! Tender, tasty beef at the perfect temperature, and a soft, perfectly salted bun. The horseradish comes on the side so you can give it as much or as little kick as you like. I had the house Cabernet with both meals. It was a very good Cab. The staff were terrific. My coworker said the pizza place across the street was good. I wouldn't bother...
