Iron Skillet

Wanted to stop here for awhile been eating breakfast in Amarillo twice a week and wanted to try this place. Loved it the food was great much better than the all day breakfast places I’ve ate at lately . Wife agrees will be back for lunch or dinner. Service was great , restaurant very clean food was more than we could eat. Not a trucker but was impressed with what I saw they have for them as far as services

This morning, breakfast was GREAT!!! Tonight we're at the shop, so we decided to go back & eat dinner while they worked on the truck. Let me say, our waitress was AWESOME!!!! But they couldn't get my steak right😓...I ordered medium well, a little pink & I'm good to go. I cut into my steak & it's mooing as I cut....🤢🤢. I sent it back three times & it was still bright red & getting colder every time, our sweet little waitress brought it back. The cook wasn't even trying to cook it more, or the steak would have been hot & pinker every time she brought it to me. She was nice enough to remove it from our ticket, because I didn't even get a bite. So thanks Iron Skillet, no dinner for me tonight, because seeing that rare steak, just made me 🤢🤢

I used to love the iron skillet. I wont go there anymore. Ordered chicken parmesan. Supposed to be 8 ounces. Was 4 ounces. When I complained they said that they were shipped 4 ounce breasts. Well gee, 2 4ounces equals 8 ounces. They no longer have liver and onions and they have changed their chicken fried steak and it is horrible now. They obviously don't care about their customers. I will say the waitress was great.

We felt very crowded by the waitress, she was very pushy, and seemed impatient. She also said they don't carry decaf coffee and seemed very confused that we tried to order one, they were out of stock for one of their steaks, they no longer have a salad bar, and the wording on the menu is strange which lead to a misunderstanding with our order and ended in way overcharging. After we ordered, the waitress and staff stood around at the hot counter gossiping about how much food my family ordered, about how we looked (freshly showered so wet hair), and how we spoke. They talked about how we read the menu wrong because the menu wording is wonky and one person offered to come "talk" to us because she can be "diplomatic". I was extremely upset about the way these people spoke about me and my family as if we weren't sitting right there. I would never recommend someone to come here and have to listen to the staff talking badly about them!
