To my everlasting shame I've never been here even though its only 30 miles away, well worth the visit, didn't travel on the train, will come back soon to do so. The volunteers have done a Stirling job building a railway fro. scratch. Full marks

This is well worth a visit. Everyone who works here is a volunteer and have made a fantastic job of getting it to where it is today. Go and support a very good cause, you won't be disappointed.

The train journey is interesting but short and a linear experience. Nice to see the train coupling process. They have a nice play park for kids, model railway exhibit and workshops to explore. I think if I went with the kids again I would not take the train journey and just buy the all day miniature railway ticket.

The volunteers have done great work in reopening this railway line over the years that they have been around and making great strides. wish them luck in extending to their goal. Very nice and helpful volunteers and wait to visit again

If your into railways, wether its diesel or steam...
There's plenty see at 'The Aln Valley Railway' near Alnwick.
They even have a regular train service hauled by steam and diesel locomotives.
They've got FREE parking, a great little cafe, model railways, gift shop and they are building a new museum.
Most of their locomotives etc are visible from the pub areas.
The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful.
If your looking for something to do 'The Aln Valley Railway' is a great day out and reasonably priced too 😀

Loved steam engine No 60 used to haul coal. It now takes you on a short ride through the lovely countryside

Fantastic, got dropped off at Greenrigg halt, had a walk by the river then caught the next train back and had a go on the miniature railway. Great for anyone with an interest in trains. Will be wonderful when it gets to Alnmouth.

A small but pleasant heritage railway with friendly staff, nice food (reasonably priced) and a cool selection of locomotives and units.
