Habanas Cuban Cuisine

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The drinks were good as well. The venue is interesting and feels like a step above casual dinning. The menu is authentic, and has some interesting fusion dishes. We tried one of those fusion dishes, the tostones nachos. They were quite good, but you have to eat them fast! And I'm pretty sure they're plantain chips, not tostones (I could be misremembering what the menu said). The main dishes, however, were not good. I ordered the ropa vieja and my wife had the bistek. None of the other tables around us seem to have a problem with their food, and we aren't big on sending back good food if we can manage to finish it. I'm willing to even discount our opinion a bit, in that we're both from Florida (I'm Cuban) and eat Cuban food regularly. So we might have had too high of expectations. On any other night I'd be willing to give the kitchen another chance with a different dish, but unfortunately my wife and I had other plans and had to just get the check. Hopefully one day we'll be able to give these nice folks another shot, in which case I'd be happy to come back and update my review.

This was our first time eating here. Being married to a Cuban for 44 years, you know what good Cuban food tastes like. We had the lechon asado, a core Cuban dish. It was okay to maybe good, but wasn't up to traditional standards. Their platanos maduros were good. I'd might eat there again but this would not be my first choice.

Really nice place to sit at enjoy refreshing mojitos among other delightful drinks. Didn’t get any food as I can late to meet up with friends but I did have fried Yuca, bomb! The space at the entrance opens up and they have live music later in the day. Definitely a treat to sit and enjoy live music and dance. With checking out!

Not a real Cuban place. Cooks are from south America. I asked for Ropa vieja and they gave me something that was a very poor attempt at this dish. Flan was mexican flan and so on. New owners are not Cuban it was sold per one employee. Only good thing was a good Mojito. Cubans do not go to this place expecting home food.

I enjoyed the food not that I know what authentic Cuban food is like. But ultimately I am not that concern because I enjoyed my meal. It could be Chinese for all I care. The one thing I would recommend is to sit further away from the bar. The speakers at the bar plays different music than the dining room and will feel annoying.
