Charcoal Eats

This outlet is situated at satellite,ahmedabad which is now growing into a food hub due to many offices there. The area is small. But can accomodate around 10 to 12 persons at a time. The interior is such designed that you may not feel congested. The food quality is amazing and the service is prompt.

Rating- 3.5 We visited Charcoal eats on the first day after its launch. A famous brand with more than 40 outlets in the country is known for its various types of biryanis. This place serves both veg and non veg. We tried 2 types of veg biryani which we felt were of good quantity as per the price. Veg Afghani (half portion)- This was quite dry. Also, we felt that salt was less in it. Veg Classic Hyderabadi (full portion) - This was supposed to be spicy but it was not spicy at all. Also, traditionally it is served green in color but here it was not the same case. We felt that there were less flavours in the biryani. We also tried the puff squared pizzas. The exotica pizza was really nice and so we ordered another portion as well. Still we would say that pizzas at other outlets serving puff pizzas are far more better given the price and quantity of it. We loved the fries over here. We loved tandoori fries which had perfect amount of sauce. The fries were crisp and not too oily. The best part? Desserts!!! Loved the chocolate mousse a lot. Salted caramel indeed had the flavour. Not a fan of strawberry flavour but still irrespective of that, didn’t like the strawberry dessert much. It lacked taste of strawberry. One tip before u try this- mix the dessert properly in the box before eating. As it is stored in freezer or fridge for a long time, we felt that the flavour of chocolate or salted caramel was just over the top of the ice cream. So mix it well before eating. We didn’t like the starters as they were very oily. We tried Veg Galouti kebab which was fried too much and dahi ke kabab which lacked dahi in it. Overall, we liked the ambience and seating arrangement of this place. Fries and desserts are a must try over here.

A tiny outlet on a busy road is kind of unaffected by the noise and the place smells pretty nice. We tried: BBQ Loaded Fries: must try! Nicely done fries loaded with bbq and mayo sauce. Aloo Tikki Pav: a fancy version of vadapav, they are more like sliders. Ask them to make it a bit more spicy. Peri Peri Veg Puff Pizza Square: with a puff pastry base, the flaky texture topped with peri peri sauce and more toppings. I feel it could have tasted a bit more spicier. Classic Hyderabadi Veg Biryani: a proper layered biryani, make sure to mix the rice well with the gravy and enjoy with curd. Salted Caramel Mousse: the star of the night! Splendid mousse I have had in a long time. Never miss this one. You van even just order online when you are craving for a sugar rush. Very comforting. Overall, value for money is also reasonable.
