Starbucks

We stop at this Starbucks every time on our way through Abilene. It’s conveniently located just off I20. They have a great patio if you want to take a small break from driving. Staff is always friendly; bathrooms are clean, most of the time. The drinks are always great. The only drawback, because it’s the only Starbucks on I20 and also next to a Chick-Fil-A, they are always super busy and you could be waiting awhile for your drinks if going through the drive through.

I very, very seldom order what I consider "fancy" coffee. Lady on a budget ya know. :) I was desperate for caffeine and hot so the sweet baristas consulted and got me the perfect drink! Don't ask me what...I'm going to have to take a picture of the lable for future reference. Wonderful experience. Beautiful employees with beautiful souls. I might be back. 😉

The gentleman taking my order was kind. I ordered a venti mocha. Took a seat to wait for it and after a good 15 minutes I went up to the counter to check the status on my drink. It had been sitting there with the “mobile orders” the whole time. The barista said they don’t call out mocha orders. ??? Now I’m late for work... Edit: Now that I think of it, I believe she must’ve said “we don’t call out mobile orders.” But I wasn’t a “mobile order”. Thanks anyway..

Drive-thru service here! Very nice Starbucks just north of I-20 on north side of City of Abilene, TX. Take exit for Ambler Dr / TX351, go north. Great for travellers! Corner location. Indoors: good seating, laptop tables, plenty of power plugs indoors, with 2 unisex rest rooms. Outdoors: Big patio, partial shade, plenty of tables. Parking: at least 15 spaces Staff was pleasant & helpful. Nearby: Chick-Fil-A, Panda Express, SUBWAY, Cane's Chicken, 7-11 with Gas pumps, WalMart Store

I love Starbucks - like all the time. Unfortunately my experience today was a bit frustrating. We were coming through on our way home to Lubbock from Fort Worth and ordered a Venti Ultra Carmel Frappuccino - a $6 drink, typically super good. However today our drink was 60% drink and 40% whipped cream. We didn't really look at it until we were back on the highway and already 10 minutes away. I will always recommend Starbucks but I would warn to examine your drinks closely.
