The previous construct of this outlet used to be really good with affordable pricing and board games with family friendly atmosphere. Now they've changed their focus and made it a 24/7 Shisha place. They seem to have lost their roots especially when Karama branch shut which was a great concept. The Shisha is priced at 70 dhs and moreover the food items have also risen in price and without any Gold discount either. All of these factors have reduced the incentive to visit the place. Shisha quality however is nice and the ambience is amazing!

Went there only for the sizzling brownie and ended up waiting 25 mins for it ... No one approached us with updates on why it was taking so long nor did anyone apologize... Service really needs some work. When the dessert came.. the brownie was cold. Still no idea why it took so long to come out. Definitely preferred the old Downtown. Might go back here to try the main courses but I was really upset with my experience today. Hoping for better service next time.

I used to be a regular at the Karama branch, where they had the most amazing pasta (DT Flakes & Flames); since the new branch has opened, the pasta has COMPLETELY changed and not for the better. <br/>Moreover, the staff speak extremely poor English, which is a negative as they couldn’t understand what we were trying to order/say. <br/><br/>Please bring back the old version of the dish.

It used to be one of my favourites but since they moved the food and service are really bad. To start with the staff barely spoke any English. We ordered a pepper steak, the sauce was no where close to a pepper sauce, the mash potato was cold. The second dish grilled chicken cane only after we finished the steak and after following up with the staff 10 times. Miss the old friendly staff and good food.<br/><br/>To top it up they refused to accept the zomato gold voucher.

I personally loved the ambience and the food was delicious. however, we had zometo gold for this restaurant and apparently we could not use it; it did not really make any sense..<br/>The staffs had no knowledge about their menu, did not understand English! It was hideous..<br/><br/>its mentioned that we could use zometo gold and the manager did not allow us.. i went to downtown cafe about a week ago, and apparently the restaurant said the 1+1 membership is over and even now its mentioned that the 1+1 golden zometo is available.<br/><br/>Anyhoo, apart from that ridiculous behaviour from the manager or the staff. The food was delicious, and affordable!<br/>Loved the baked mac and cheese! Tbh everything!

Easily the most disgusting experience I ve had in any restaurant here in Dubai or anywhere else I ve been to. Service is ridiculuously slow. 40 minutes to serve a Lasagne, Spicy Paneer burger and and a club sandwich. Burger was really bad. A 3 yr old kid would have done a better job. Lasagne was decent. So was the club sandwich.<br/><br/>There isnt an ambience to even speak about. Just a tent beside a parking lot.<br/><br/>They refused to honor Zomato Gold as well. The question the manager asked was “Have you come to eat for free” Never seen such nerves anywhere. And the pricing - ridiculous. Especially considering the quality of food! Avoid avoid avoid! Stay faaaar away!<br/>Pretty bad food and very poor service. Hated the experience<br/>No wonder we were one of the two only set of people there inspite it being a Thursday evening. With this attitude and quality, no one would walk in even if the food was free!

We had planned a big day involving a good lunch and a great board game time after hearing good reviews of this place.<br/>Well, everything went well. WE HAD CHECKED ZOMATO AS WELL AS GOOGLE, where funny enough it still remains same.<br/>And what do we see after we reach? It's closed. Wow.<br/>I. Mean how long it takes to mention that in your zomato page or anywhere. Really disappointed. Please do be careful and more responsibile since many of us depend on such information. Hope you don't lose customers like this.

It’s a small comfortable place in the trade center area with an outdoor setting which we couldn’t use in this Dubai heat. Ordered lambchops with veggies and mashed potatoes and garlic bread, and chicken Mac n cheese. The lamb was chewy and Mac n cheese was just alright. The sides were really good though especially the garlic bread.<br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Ambience - 3/5<br/>Service -3/5<br/>Price -2.5/5

This cafe branch is just ok. The karama one is spacious and lively. This has a small area with not so great ambience. We ordered DT flames pasta seeing their reviews but it came out very cheesy. The pasta is covered up with lots of cheese sauce with some chilly flakes. Overall, you can taste only cheese. And also ordered some sizzler. Even that was cheesy and just french fries with some chicken pieces.

We are on a hunt with Dubai’s Hidden Gem restaurant, and we are glad to find Down Town Cafe Restaurant. <br/><br/>Perfect ambience, delectable food in a very affordable price. <br/><br/>Here what we ordered and their ratings:<br/><br/>Tenderloin Steak: 5⭐️ very tender and the taste was over the top<br/><br/>Chicken Portobello Mushroom Alfredo: 5⭐️ creamy and soooo delish! <br/><br/>Pasta Escalope: 5⭐️ you all should try this! <br/><br/>Sizzling Brownie: 5⭐️ not your ordinary brownie with vanilla ice cream on top.<br/><br/>Their team were very accommodating and polite especially Anu he was a star! Beating the heat of Dubai at this quite cosy Down Town Cafe with its flavoursome food.<br/>As my friend and I were looking for a good place to have some nice food at SZR we came across Down Town Cafe as we were already familiar with the name so we didn’t give a second thought. <br/>We went through the most global ambrosial food. And tried their new menu. I was invited to review this restaurant and whenever I go to any restaurant,I check if they do have vegetarian options as I’m a vegetarian. I checked here also but when we went there and placed our order I was informed that they are mainly non veg food joint and lots of vegetarian options like pizza,biryani are not available today. This is a new joint so there was no adequate staff and service was not up to the mark.<br/>Coming to food we ordered club sandwich,aaloo tikki burger,pasta and paneer wrap. Everything was good. Food was hot and fresh.<br/>Then we ordered falooda,which was filled with three scoops of icecream,nuts,fruits and even chocos and cornflakes but there was no falooda in it . <br/>In juices we ordered DT special and mint mojito. Mojito was refreshing.

We were blown away with the wide variety of food offered on their menu as well as the pricing for the quality of food offered.<br/>Walked in expecting an average coffee place kinda menu, we were proven wrong over and over again (you guys know Dubai Cafes that serve ok sandwiches, 1 day old croissants, shakes/frappes overloaded with sugar and mains that involve reheating a pre-made meal? - You Know Who You Are!)😶 We absolutely loved the Freak shakes, their mains Including the Spicy Poached Prawns pictured above, their Hydrabadi Biryani (prepared by a chef from Paradise Restaurant in Hyderabad) and smoothies too.<br/><br/>The prawns pictured above were bang on in terms of taste, presentation (as you can see above) and quite affordable too. 🦐<br/><br/>If you are looking to head to a Cafe along SZR with affordable delicious food, this is the place to head to. Ps. A little bird mentioned they also do quick deliveries along first interhchange on SZR so this joint is a great lunch order option for those of you who work around there. And their on @zomatogold too!<br/><br/>They have a cute outdoor area that'll be amazing to chill at through the winters.❄️

Enjoyed the delicious food 🍲🌮🍔🥩served @down_town_cafe at their newly opened branch @sheikhzayedroad ,located very close to the financial Centre metro 🚇 station (going towards AUH) This place serves the best shakes 🍹 & it’s a gr8 place to chill & unwind , after work with friends 👫👭 as they have so much more than food ... they have a mini book corner for book lovers to read while they wait for their food & they can take the book home if they wish to finish reading it & return it when they r done reading! They have several games like uno, scrabble, Pictionary to keep ur kids entertained. Isn’t this cool ? Do u need any more reasons to visit this cafe ?

We visited this place and tried alot of items from their menu:<br/>✨Hyderabadi chicken biryani: This was prepared by a special chef who worked in Hyderabad at one of the famous place that serves biryani. It tasted<br/>Nice.<br/>✨Chilly cheesy wedges: These were sooo delicious!!! Right balance of cheesy flavor to it.<br/>✨DT flakes & flames Pasta: This was really good👍🏻<br/>✨Pan Seared Salmon: Was cooked perfectly!!<br/>✨Avacado shake: It was on the sweeter side which I enjoy.<br/>✨Lotus Creme waffles: If you’re a lotus fan you must try this out👍🏻<br/>Overall the service was good, although the parking availability can be little tricky it’s a good place to hang out with friends enjoy good food & play games like Uno cards or monopoly.

The Newest branch of Downtown cafe is now open in Sheikh Zayed Road, Close to the DIFC Metro, on the Abudhabi side of the road. I visit the Karama branch regularly and now there is one closer to Business Bay, which is great news. <br/><br/>I ordered the Shepherds’ Pie, It was pretty great. The Mashed potato was well made and the meat had a great flavour. While it looked like a small quantity, I could barely finish it. I was with my friends and We tried their Special Turkish Shawarma and I was super impressed. It might be a little spicy for some people, but it’s delicious. It was served with mayo and hummus. Just perfect. I ordered the Turkish coffee to drink it down. I was so nice; I ordered a second one. We regularly order the Sausage Platter and we couldn’t not order it here. It was really good too, as usual. <br/><br/>Apart from the food, the place has a really nice ambience and I can’t wait to go there once the climate is better as the outdoor seating area looks super cool. And as usual they have all these games, which makes the time we spend there even more awesome. Also, the place is open till 2AM. <br/><br/>Must Try: Turkish Shawarma

Downtown cafe is a superb place to chill and eat to your hearts delight! <br/><br/>My favourites here are Chilli cheese wedges, spicy paneer burger and avocado cheesecake. <br/>Was so glad to have so many burger options in veg. It was by far the best veg burger Ive had in Dubai. So tender soft bun and super delicious paneer fillings. The cheese cake was surprisingly amazing too. <br/><br/>Prices are worth the taste and quantities. <br/><br/>Can't wait for winters to return so that I can enjoy their fabulous outside seating!

I'm super excited to have known that they now have a new branch opened here in the Trade Centre Area. My friends and I have been regular customers at their Karama branch, however the only issue there is the parking. That's exactly why I'm happy about this one, as it's easily accessible by the metro. The location is fab! Easier to get to and it's not exactly on the main road. It's sorta tucked in giving it a very cozy feel.<br/><br/>While the indoor seating maybe a bit small, they also have ample of seating outside, which will be perfect during the winters. There's a reading section too here, so grab a book, order a cup of coffee and you're good to go.<br/><br/>Coming to the food...<br/>They've got so much to choose from on their menu. From sandwiches to sizzlers to pasta to burgers, name it and they probably have it already.<br/><br/>They also have this avocado cheesecake, which btw is highly recommend. It's got the subtle avocado flavor and the creamy texture of a cheesecake. Never thought I'd like it, but it turned out to be so good!<br/><br/>It's a great place to have some alone time or chill with friends over a cup of coffee and great food.

Reminiscing all the yummy dishes we tried last week @down_town_cafe 🤩<br/>you will literally drool over all the dishes here 🤤!!<br/>Few of our favorites here - Chilly cheesy wedges, cowboy burger beef, Biryani, Passionfruit Mojito and the sizzling brownies , the catch here is they taste so good and reasonably priced too👍 They have 2 branches - one in Karama and newly opened one in SZR which we visited. Recently I visited the newly opened downtown cafe in sheikh Zayed road which has an amazing outdoor spaces with a luxury feel to it and they also have a cozy feel interiors as well which is a perfect place to hangout with friends and family to pass a valuable time eating and playing around.<br/><br/>Usually I visit the karama branch with my friends but this branch is even more convenient for me because it's right next to financial metro station and don't have to worry about parking and also this place is kind of secluded from the main road so don't have to worry about privacy even if we sit outdoor. They have a whole shelf for playing games and reading books till the food reaches your table and seriously their service was really amazing and was having a smile Everytime they brought the dish out and I really appreciate the effort.<br/><br/>To start things off we have few drinks like the Dubai kids favorite Abood drink, strawberry mojito, avocado juice, virgin mojito, passion fruit mojito, mango shake and Ferraro richer shake and for munching we had the chilli cheese wedges, chicken dynamite fries, crunchy cocktail shrimps, DT flakes and flames pasta, cowboy beef burger, trio slider, sausage platter sizzler, chilli chicken wings, Arabic platter and off course their speciality chicken Hyderabadi biryani and every single dish was scrumptious and tasted even better and for desserts we had Nutella pancake, monster shake, avocado and lotus cheesecake, and sizzling brownie.<br/><br/>Their menu options are wide and has an Indian touch to it on almost all the dishes which is the main reason I love all the dishes a lot and as I said earlier their service was amazing and I would prefer this branch more for it's convenient.<br/><br/>I would definitely recommend this place to all the goodies, friends and family to try their food and spend your valuable time here with lots of fun and also you guys can spent your birthday as well here because they outdoor seating area is perfect for such occasion.<br/><br/>To know more follow me on Instagram @sweettoothboy

A cafe that has touched many hearts around India &amp; now in Dubai has opened it&rsquo;s latest branch at Sheikh Zayed Road and we are quite glad that we were able to host a grand blogger&rsquo;s event there.<br/><br/>Our very first visit at Downtown Cafe was at their Karama branch which is quite hyped for its very lively ambiance, finger licking food options, an amazing cafe to enjoy with friends while competing at games available at the cafe or quietly enjoying a great read.&nbsp;<br/><br/>We had just stopped by for a good cup of coffee and a dessert to go with, for which the manager recommended us to try out their newest edition to the menu which was some Berry flavored cheesecake, and he guaranteed we would love it. Honestly, it was just divine, and simply presented.<br/><br/>Therefore, when we got an option to host an event at their Sheikh Zayed Road branch, we wee quite elated. It is perfectly located near the Financial Centre Metro station next to Harman House.<br/><br/>They have a very alluring and extensive menu with special chefs for every dish i would say. Plenty of options from quick grabs, to big plates. and unlimited drink options.&nbsp;<br/><br/>Our recommended dish at the cafe would definitely be the Cowboy Burger which is packed with flavors and generously filled with beef patty along with bacon. Mouth watering and extremely fulfilling, this was the highlight for me.<br/><br/>For appetizers, the dynamite chilli wedges was the crowd pleaser. Generously served in a small pan, topped with cheese and filled with wedges, it was flavorful and delicious.<br/><br/>Pastas are another must order as it is cooked perfectly. Tossed generously in a creamy sauce, added with handful of chicken pieces and served alongside garlic bread. The pastas are surely quite inviting and appetizing.<br/><br/>All the way from Hyderabad, very famous restaurant Paradise, they have the chef making their Special Hyderabadi biryani which is a must order for its authentic flavors and aromas.<br/><br/>Ending with sweet note at Downtown Cafe is surely a good decision as there are quite a lot of toothsome options to indulge in. Crispy nutella waffles served alongside fruits and Avacado Cheesecake, Sizzling brownies are just a few of them.<br/><br/>To beat this scorching heat, you should definitely stop by at Downtown Cafe to enjoy their very refreshing, exquisite and heavenly mojitos and thick shakes. Unlike other places, their Killer shake is worth the price as the shake is thick, creamy and flavorsome.

Amazing place, very cozy very cute. The food & their service gets 5/5 from my side. They have a variety of food which makes it difficult & easy to choose from as long as you know what you want to eat. <br/>They have games which can be played while waiting for your order to arrive.<br/>Really enjoyed our time there.

With Downtown Cafe opening it's second restaurant in Dubai, I couldn't keep my calm. They have a massive variety of dishes and they all taste great; be it the wraps, pizzas, desserts. After being a regular at Downtown Cafe Karama (their first branch in Karama), we decided to give this branch a try.<br/><br/>Our order -<br/>Chicken Dynamite Fries<br/>Turkish Grill (served by Mutabbal)<br/>Citrus Mojito<br/><br/>Chicken Dynamite fries were absolutely cheesy and wonderful with jalapenos and the minced chicken bits. There were good flavours and great seasoning on the Turkish Grill with the chicken being tender and went well with the Mutabbal. Citrus Mojito was quite refreshing with the meal. For more detailed reviews please visit my Insta Page @ sykoblogger <br/><br/>The first thing that comes to my mind when Downtown Cafe is mentioned, is Jenga and awesome FOOD!!!!<br/><br/>After trying out their Karama, Dubai and Calicut branch near the highway, I was delighted to know that they are opening up at Sheikh Zayed Road.<br/><br/>Located close to the DIFC metro station beside Harman House, this is even more easily accessible now than ever.<br/><br/>The place has ample seating outide, which would be fun during the winters. But for summers they have cosy place indoors which can accomodate around 25 people easily.<br/><br/>The ambience in the interiors is very nicely set.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, the day we planned to visit them, it was a soft opening and very crowded, but that did not stop them from giving us their best of best service.<br/><br/>The food that was served was presented so well, even though they had a lot of crowd, shows that they are prepared and ready to serve you with no room for bad service and presentation.<br/><br/>We ordered Chicken Biryani, which is an authentic Hyderabadi Styled Biryani, made by the Ex-chef of Paradise restaurant in Hyderabad, India. I am sure most of the people who have tried from Paradise can relate to and would be drooling at the moment :) The taste of Paradise Restaurant can never be replicated, but this is by far the closest it gets to for AED 14 per serving.<br/><br/>We also ordered the Cowboy Burger which was great in taste and not the usual frozen patty, but prepared in-house with their in-house herbs and spices speciality.<br/><br/>The Crunchy Cocktail Shrimps were good in taste and well presented.<br/><br/>The Turkish Grill was also good in taste, and something different from the regular grill you try in Dubai.<br/><br/>The Chicken Dynamite fries, was also something that I would recommend here, as the minced chicken used in this was properly marinated in spices and cooked well. The fries, even though dipped in the sauce or curry of the chicken, was still crunchy and crisp. RECOMMENDED!!!!!!<br/><br/>The Avocado Cheesecake is something different and tasted so good. (THIS IS COMING FROM A GUY WHO DOESNT LIKE AVOCADOES) Surprisingly it was not overpowering with sweetness and was just right to tingle your taste buds.<br/><br/>Special Mention here would be for the PASSION FRUIT MOJITO which is great in quantity and something which is right for the soaring temperatures. After trying out their branch in Karama, was back again at Downtown’s new location near Trade Center for their delicious food. <br/><br/>Cozy place with outdoor sitting available. They’ve got books and games which makes it a perfect hangout place . <br/><br/>Since it is summer , kick started with some refreshing mojitos. Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Classic mojitos were perfect. <br/><br/>From the appetizers loved the Mac and Chicken Bakes and Chilly Cheesy Wedges . Wedges are extraordinary and a must try. <br/><br/>Mains included Authentic Hydrabadi Chicken Biryani. Flavorful DT Flakes and Flames Pasta , Tender Turkish Grill and a sizzling Chicken Sausage Platter. Each dish served beautifully and hit the right spot in terms of taste. <br/><br/>Do not leave the place without trying the Shakes. Nutella Killer Shake and Ferro Rocher sakes were amazing. A place you could make your Central Perk - from FRIENDS. Well, you need not burst your bubble, because we came across a restaurant just like the one you've been daydreaming about. Downtown Cafe, located in Dubai - right next to Financial Centre Metro Station, beside Harman House - is the peanut butter to your jamming dreams. It serves from scrumptious appetizers like cheesy wedges and cocktail shrimps, to finger-licking entrées like burgers, grilled fish and our hero-of-the-night, Hyderabadi Biryani made by their chef from Hyderabad. You can then end your day - on a sweet note - with their swoon worthy shakes, waffles and cakes. What's more, all of these delicacies won't cost you more than 80 AED each! Light on the pockets and winning over our hearts, I don't think it could get any better than this.

Excellent and friendly staffs. But quiet a busy place. The food was good too. The brownie topped with ice cream is a must try...their brownies were too good. Our very first visit at Downtown Cafe was at their Karama branch which is quite hyped for its very lively ambiance, finger licking food options, an amazing cafe to enjoy with friends while competing at games available at the cafe or quietly enjoying a great read. We had just stopped by for a good cup of coffee and a dessert to go with, for which the manager recommended us to try out their newest edition to the menu which was some Berry flavored cheesecake, and he guaranteed we would love it. Honestly, it was just divine, and simply presented. Therefore, when we got an option to host an event at their Sheikh Zayed Road branch, we wee quite elated. It is perfectly located near the Financial Centre Metro station next to Harman House. They have a very alluring and extensive menu with special chefs for every dish i would say. Plenty of options from quick grabs, to big plates. and unlimited drink options. Our recommended dish at the cafe would definitely be the Cowboy Burger which is packed with flavors and generously filled with beef patty along with bacon. Mouth watering and extremely fulfilling, this was the highlight for me. For appetizers, the dynamite chilli wedges was the crowd pleaser. Generously served in a small pan, topped with cheese and filled with wedges, it was flavorful and delicious. Pastas are another must order as it is cooked perfectly. Tossed generously in a creamy sauce, added with handful of chicken pieces and served alongside garlic bread. The pastas are surely quite inviting and appetizing. Ending with sweet note at Downtown Cafe is surely a good decision as there are quite a lot of toothsome options to indulge in. Crispy nutella waffles served alongside fruits and Avacado Cheesecake, Sizzling brownies are just a few of them. To beat this scorching heat, you should definitely stop by at Downtown Cafe to enjoy their very refreshing, exquisite and heavenly mojitos and thick shakes.
