Having been a regular customer, I had confidently placed a take out order of Veg Manchurian and Chilly Gobi. At home, as soon as I opened the Chilly Gobi, I could smell Sambhar. I thought it might have been the container or bag that had the odour. I was absolutely disgusted to taste the gravy of the gobi, as it tasted like sambhar and also was extremely spicy (the exact chilly flavour that one would find in sambhar or rasam) and it was clear that the gravy had been mixed up with a different dish. Moving on to the Manchurian, extremely watery gravy with manchurian balls floating in the dish, and the manchurian balls tasted sweet. It tasted nothing close to the regular manchurian balls which are made using cabbage and other vegetables. On examining it further, I found these were the vegetable balls of Malai Kofta and not Manchurian. They even had cheese (paneer) strands inside them. I have no idea what Sarvanaa Bhavan served me, as it wasn't anything close to the Indo Chinese food I have had from them before. It is clear that ingredients of other dishes were used and this couldn't be an innocent mistake. To the chef and staff who thought they could get away with this, this is extremely disappointing, shameful and utterly unprofessional on your part. If you thought you could fool the customer, you are absolutely wrong.

Naveen Kumar was not ready to listen to the order and any cooking instructions given.<br/>Moreover he denied some of the dishes on account of unavailability that we ordered, the same was served to other customers while we were there.<br/>Saravana carries a great reputation and should try to justify what it stands for.<br/>Would not be visiting this place again.

I ordered the mini tiffin and sambar vada. To be honest the mini tiffin would have been more than enough for me but I wanted to reach my minimum order of 25 dirhams for delivery. The mini tiffin has the perfect variety. The mini idlis were cute and not heavy. The spices were ok not too spicy. I loved it. The masala dosa was nice (very thin and yummy) but I would have wanted the potatoes to be a little bit more spiced. The sambar vada is an absolute must try. Light and very filling at the same time. Good job guys.

Our weekends (for the past few years) are incomplete without a visit to Saravanaa. We love the dosas ! The service staff is so friendly and playful with our kids.<br/>My only complaint recently is the high level of spice in the coconut chutneys! It is unbearable and there is no option for something bland. My husband, kids and I cannot handle the spice and I’m aware this has changed only in the past few months. Please do something about it as it’s a total put off.

This branch is a total disgrace to this biggest south indian food chain. We walk in to this restaurant and the first thing that you get to see is cockroaches on the seats. Have been to many other branches of Saravan Bhavan and have never had this kind of a bad experience. On informing the staff about this, they simply said you can sit on the next table.<br/>I do not want to write a feedback on the food here since this scene completely makes me give this place a ZERO rating.

This quality of food served in this outlet has gone down off late.Had refrained from giving this rating as one off instance ,but all the last 3 visits did not go well.Here is my detailed review.<br/><br/>The ghee masala dosa was uneven and had white / black patches.<br/>The mini tiffin ordered was completely not worth it..pongal tasted very bad and not even a slight trace of ghee was found.Old hard medhu vada and the mini masala dosa was uneven and tasteless.<br/>The sambar and chutneys were very average.<br/><br/>Though it was less crowded when we dined,the waiters were inattentive.The place also needs to overhaul their hygiene in wash area.<br/><br/>Felt overrated and there are much better restaurants in Dubai serving authentic South Indian cuisine.

According to me, this outlet in Oud Mehta beats all their other ones when it comes to food. And this is definitely visible in the generosity of ghee on their ghee roasts :D And even otherwise...coz it's always more peaceful and less noisy as compared to the ones in Bur Dubai or Karama. Love their masala dosas, ghee roasts, vadas the best! And these guys make good badam milk. So if you arrive after 6pm you can grab some hot badam milk or in case you make it earlier then you catch the cold version of it.

Loved everything about this place! This was my first time at a Saravanaa Bhavan and now I know what the hype is about. They do South Indian food so well! We had the mini tiffin which had everything- dosa , idly, medu vada, sheera, upma, sambhar and three types of chutney! We also had the onion rawa dosa with some lassi. Lassi was the weakest link but nevertheless! The food hit just the right spot. Definitely will be coming back! Affordable and delicious! Who wouldn’t !

We had a very horrible experience here at Saravana bhawan, Oud Metha restaurant.<br/><br/>They don't know whats a dal tadka , the vegetable curries were also not good. The waiter combined water of 3-4 jugs to serve us a regular water. The manager was a worth piece of shit....he was not at all listening and instead was complaining about our mistake of not ordering properly. I would recommend to skip this restaurant and better have it a Pakistani restaurant

Ordered for quick South Indian lunch, and parotta and paneer sabji. Quick lunch was okish and paneer sabji was completely opposite to what it is supposed be. The staff is okish too. Our bill was out in the table even before asking for it, which made us feel like “ok guys you had food now you are supposed to leave.” The restaurant is clean and neat though which was the only good thing in the entire experience. This is my favourite chain to have vegeterian meal. Have been at their Karama outlet several times. This time went for a lunch at their oud metha outlet. The starking difference i could feel was in the service. Whereas the service in karama outlet has been outstanding the same could not be found here. The food was as usual tasty. Their Dosas are really dry, almost like paper. Once I ordered the ghee roast and it came to us almost burnt. There was this bad aroma from it and the staff were too busy to attend to us.

I visited Saravana Bhavan restaurant with my family . we were looking for an Indian place that served good pure veg food without onion and garlic.<br/><br/>The service was very good unlike other indian restaurants we visited where typically the staff are slow paced and wait for each other to take orders. The restaurant is very clean including the toilets.<br/><br/>Staff were curtious and friendly, food delivered quickly and tasted good.<br/><br/>The price is very good for the quality.<br/>If I lived in Dubai, this would be my local!

I was hungry and tried their vegetable biryani. It was delicious and one of the best vegetable biryani I have had.<br/><br/>Now I will have to try their other dishes, the next time I am there.<br/><br/>Normally I try the south indian dishes, but looks like the other cuisines too are nice.

All right . I admit that I am from SOuth India and I am rather fond of my idlis and dosas. So when I went there I was quite sure that it would be the usual tasty fare that they serve all over the world - which it was . Looking for something unusual I saw the "Day's Special" - Cauliflower DOsa ! Intrigued me and colleague decided to have the same . Its very simple - instead of the "masala" in a masala dosa, they had grated cauliflower with some unidentified masala . Whatever , it was very tasty . The rest was the usual fare of Tamil Food which is quote well known - so I wont describe it . Try the Cauliflower Dosa - its a bit off the beaten track and at the same time , quite yummy

Just the usual South Indian Veg fare. Although the food was good, they really need to work on their cleanliness.<br/>First things first , the rest room needs rework. Period.<br/>Next, plates and spoon need to be spotless. I spent 5 or 6 tissues for cleaning them; not a good sign generally.<br/>We ordered dosas, mushroom pepper fry , Hakka noodles,curd rice and pori masala. Mushroom was a surprise as its quantity was good so was the quality.<br/>Avoid the Hakka noodles at all cost. Everything else was decent but not sure it’s worth the price.

Sarvana Bhavan is synonymous to good South Indian food. I have been to their branches in Paris too. I love their simplicity and at the same time attention to detail. I tried their curd idli and masala dosa here. Both were upto my satisfaction. 👍

Quality South Indian restaurant where one can get authentic Udupi fare, freshly made and well presented too.
Ambiance is fairly nice with seating in cubicles as well as central zone of the place.
Though we had tasty Idki, medu vada, roast masala dosa and rawa masala dosa, the menu offers other non Udupi options too.

Very famous vegetarian restaurant across globe, food is always standard and good. North Indian thali is served without roti. Service is not that great. Washroom needs more neatness.

Enjoyed the delicious Masala dossa and plain dossa from @sarvana bhavan it was such a treat served at the right temperature packed in foil for freshness crispy and good to taste the gravy and chutnies served with it makes it truly delicious <br/>unmatched in town highly recommended <br/>

We went for Friday brunch around 11 and the place was buzzing .. helpful staff and big seating place.. dosa was very crisp and served hot .. reasonable prices and lots of options to choose from.. very filling brunch and pocket friendly too.. parking was easily available around .. give it a try

They have a breakfast combo that I would really ask people to give a go. There are about 4-5 items are really worth the money. also bonus it comes with a sweet on the side.
