After a bit of a disappointment with another restaurant my hubby found this little gem hidden away. Never tasted haddock quite like it 😋 the batter was so light and crispy that it made your mouth water 🤤. The Belgian chocolate waffle 🧇 was to die for 😋🤤
Staff was excellent 👌
We would recommend going there again.

Passing through & this came up on a search, so glad I stopped. Lovely young lady welcomed me & served me & it was so good to see so many G/F choices. I had the burger & fries & it was cooked to perfection, the crispiest chips I've had in forever. Dessert was superb as well, highly recommend. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my dinner.

Newly refurbished pub lacks atmosphere but the seafood platter was outstanding.
The pub is clean and new but a bit sterile. Decent range of beers and pub food with good presentation.

Absolutely lovely food from here, fresh tasty and reasonably priced. Wide range of drinks and alcohol free alternatives. Located near to the centre. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The staff was amiable and prompt in seating us. However, the food preparation took longer than anticipated, as it appeared that the kitchen staff was cooking one meal at a time instead of multiple orders. It is recommended that the doorbell be modified or the volume be lowered to signal when the food is ready, as the current notification is quite bothersome.
Regarding the food quality, it was satisfactory overall. The steak burger was dense and dry, with a minimal amount of lettuce. On the other hand, the onion rings were cooked to perfection.

Well worth seeking it out, it’s a little hidden away, but honestly we can’t hype the food enough!

I had the steak burger and it is the best food I've had 'out' for a long time. The burger was tasty and just the right amount of chargrilled. It came with chips which were fluffy and yet crisp!
The coleslaw didn't taste like it was straight out of a packet like you get at some restaurants, it was great - as was the relish.
£29 for 2 burgers and 2 cokes. I would happily come here again if in the area.
