Capri Sogno

What a nice location. Very pretty interior. Very professional staff. Attentive waitor that was kind and helpful. The food was sooo delicious. Fresh vegetables and very flavorful. Wish I could remember what it was called. Will have to get this meal again. It is a bit pricey, but very worth it as the food is so good. Nice bread and olive oil are offered when you place your order. Will eat here again.

I am amending a previous review after enjoying a new dining experience at Capri Sogno this weekend where service was highly attentive from the bus boy to our server to the bartender. We were seated promptly within seconds of our reservation and everything that followed was perfectly timed. The food was exceptional—as it usually is—and we did not feel rushed at any time while seated. I know that patrons have imposed greater expectations on the service industry and its workers after all of us felt punished by COVID and its many restrictions in every aspect of our lives, and dining out was no exception. That said, I’m glad Capri Sogno has weathered the storm of lockdowns and increased demands with grace and patience and, in my view, an elevated dimension of service for its many adoring patrons. We will continue to patronize this excellent establishment for the joy it provides us in our dining experience.

Usually would always give this place 5 stars but last nights visit was not the greatest. Our main issue was the service. Our server didn’t seem like he was in a good mood right from the start he seemed annoyed he had to wait on us 4– 30 year old women out for a girls night… it took so long for him to come get our drink order and I was trying to ask him for oil for the bread for like 15 minutes. There was another server walking around who checked on us several times which was nice of him. Anyways my food was a big disappointment I literally always get the rigatoni vita Mia and this time there was no sauce on it and very greasy from the sausage. I politely told the server “I’m sorry I don’t want a be a pain but could I get some extra vodka sauce”? He told me sure but it’s going to be awhile…so I sat and waited maybe 15 minutes. When he came I said “don’t you think this looks like it has no sauce on it” and the server said I’m glad you ordered it? Idk it was a weird experience and we felt unwanted. I wish I could figure out how to add the photo of my meal…it looks awful

Some of the finest Italian I've had in a long time and it was less than 25 minutes from my house, and I didn't have to go down to the lakefront to get it I'll definitely be back... I decided to come back they were kind of busy I was told stand at the bar since I was by myself, grabbed a drink and waited for the bar to open up, where I was treated rudely by not only the waiter but the manager as well until I eventually finished my drink. Mind you I was waiting for the bar to open up. Paid the bartender and left I'll never come back there the dirty looks in the snide comments that were made there's better places out there I'll go to Capri in Burr ridge before I go back to this s*** hole get treated like that...

We just stopped in for a drink and an appetizer around 8 pm. We asked for a seat at one of their outdoor tables so we could people watch. Our drinks came out ice cold and perfectly made..my drink, a limoncello martini was very refreshing. We decided on a grilled seafood appetizer consisting of calamari, octopus and shrimp drizzled with balsamic vinegar..yummy. The limoncello cake was great!
