It a lovely place, magic atmosphere, Relaxing bar where you can listen to reggae music and you can buy handmade ethnic jewelry accessories from the owner, a nice and helpful person. Highly recommended

This is a hidden treasure, off the normal tourist track. (See UPDATE below: I’m a huge live music fan, but for musicians that are passionate about music, that play with heart, not Bangala Road “show bands”. Wednesday night an amazing musician plays named Moody on electric guitar with the drummer named Mud (mood), and on Thursdays Ali plays, also an incredible musician playing great acoustic guitar and he has a wonderful voice. Places like this are the real heart of Thailand!)
UPDATE: Covid has been cruel to small clubs like this. The off again on again effects have hurt trying to keep live music going in small venues so live bands are currently not always on the menu. But Roots has a great playlist constantly going on the sound system. And as a classic Thai reggae bar, ganja is available and their selection is quite good and extensive. Roots also has a rooftop lounge where you can fire up the herb while stargazing, enjoying the evening air, and your favorite beverage! As a local, one of my favorite stops!

I only wish I could give more stars. The staff make you feel welcome from the moment you first step in until you go. Good drinks, great atmosphere, and even has live music some nights which was pretty good. This place came highly recommended it certainly was worth the two times we visited

Great vibes here especially when they have a live band 3-4 times a week.. I was rocking on the dancefloor for two hours straight! Nice, helpful and handsome guy serving tasty cocktails and drinks, reasonably priced 🍸🍸 Lovely 🌲🌳 Thanks, see you soon ♥️😎😍🌴

Best bar in Phuket. ;D live music on Friday/Saturdays and good price on the beer too. Owner and staff are also very friendly and helpful. A must visit if you are in Phuket
