Cafe La Trova

Don’t be fooled into thinking this is a cheesy tourist trap because it’s not- the ambiance, food, and music is as authentic as it gets. Coming from a Cuban household, and being born and raised in Miami, I can give La Trova the two thumbs all the way up. Be sure to reserve dinner and watch the live band play traditional Cuban music. Must try dishes: Las Croquettas Vaca Frita Sliders Fried Red Snapper Coconut Rice Pumpkin Empanadas Banana Bread Pudding Tres Leches * Ps : their daiquiri is the BEST !

As good as it gets. Cocktails are amazing even my na mojito. The food was outstanding, elevated Cuban/Spanish apps, tapas and mains. On top of that was music, all Cuban and great. Atmosphere is lively with the bartenders joining the band occasionally. All in all a great experience. You can reserve a table near the stage for a nominal fee or make a standard reservation for dinner and still get great music I would check their website for live music schedule

Ok so I was a little hesitant thinking La trova would be a great vibe but more touristy food. Could not have been more wrong!! Amazing vibes, love music, great service, amazing food. There were layers to the flavours of each dish- bring in a unique experience to every bite. The Service was 10/10 and then we topped of the night with a Cuban cigar and some love music. Was perfect for my date night, but also amazing for group dinners and family dinner. Couldn’t recommend enough.

That was one of the most memorable evening out experiences my party and I ever had. We ordered a large sampling of the menu, each thing that we tried was so amazing. A food amausement park! All of chef Michelle and her teams awards are well deserved ! A master of her craft. The live band helped take us to another place. We would love to find out the name of the group so I can get some of their music! Thank you for a night we will not forget Cafe La Trova team. The mixology program amazed us all equally as well. Our host and everyone was super welcoming and treated us so well all around. We are here in town from Bismarck, ND for a few more days and may come by again :).
