Really cozy bar that serves real Scottish food. I had haggis, neeps and tatties. It was very delicious

Frankly, the 1 star reviews are baffling. I've been in here many times. For a couple of beers or for the food and I'm always greeted with a warm welcome.
It's a busy bar, for sure. But it only adds to the atmosphere as you hear the sound of people laughing talking and having a good time.
They sell pub grub ( as you would expect ) and its always been delicious. Whenever I'm up that side of town I make sure I pop in. It's a great pub and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Great traditional Scottish Restaurant / Bar with good selection of beer etc. We had their Highland Chicken stuffed with locally caught haggis. Very tasty. For dessert we tried the Deep fried Mars Bar - not something we like.

Here just for a drink yesterday, cool pub, you have to order at the bar. Tested the whisky spritz for the first Time, really good !

We were looking for somewhere with a good old fashioned pub meal with an atmosphere without an over the top price . George IV Bar delivered !! I had the Beef Burger with bacon as an extra & my hubby had the Bangers & Mash . Both were very generous in size & delicious 😋 ... Didn't give 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ as we had to wait for quite a while

Amazing hgh quality food. The fried potatoes with truffle were very good and dry, the salmon was great and the whiskey sauce!!!! Highlight!highly recommend ...

Went there on a food tour and had the skink. Very delicious. Went back the next day for some more plus some other starters like the haggis. I went with a burger. Was huge and very tasty. Will go back when we come back. Service is excellent as well.
