It was our 1st time here and we had a warm welcome from Curtis and Susie and family and there dog 🐕 Hugo We have been well looked after and the meals where great and Susie had taken us to find my neice who stayed in Earlston on the day we left Curtis and Susie give us lifts to Tweedbank railway to Edinburgh Weavley we would recommend this hotel The Red Lion Hotel to any one. We had an amazing stay, owners are really friendly and the rooms were clean. Food was amazing, owners go out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. The resident dog Hugo bear is always welcoming you at the door which was awesome. Location is also just an hour drive from Edinburgh. Lot of good countryside around to enjoy. Would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay. The welcome was very friendly Sue one of the owners met us at the door and she escorted us to our rooms then offering toowow0 cook us a meal of chicken chips and cauliflower cheese washed down with a couple of a local beer. Will definitely be returning. Well worth the 5 stars. Wish we could give it more. 🤩

Guys thank you so much for Saturday night, it was more like staying with old friends than a hotel. The rooms were excellent, the food was awesome and the company was exceptional. Keep doing what your doing, because it works. Why should people listen to a random guy on the internet? My father ran his own international coach company for 35 years, so I've stopped in a fair few hotels in my time. These guys now how to run a hotel.

Loved the hotel. The owners really go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. They are so friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them. They really made our stay here special. The room was perfect and loved the stunning bar/dining area. There is parking provided and it's a good location for exploring the region. This is a hotel I will definitely be returning too.

We booked an overnight stay at the last minute. If we could give 6 stars out of 5 then we would :)). Due to bad weather and a road closure we arrived really late but the owners waited up for us and even offered us food when we got there. Nothing was too much trouble. The en-suite room was amazing. Lovely comfortable bed and everywhere spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing and never ending….everything there you could wish to eat. Car park in the front is safe. To wait up for us to arrive was truly one of the kindest things. Our heartfelt thanks and we will be going back. Robert and Joanne :)))

My daughter and I were in the Borders to see some friends and we had a lovely stay here. Our room was so stylish and luxurious, really quite breathtaking. The beds were incredibly comfy and the quality of the linen was like a top hotel. The owners were absolutely lovely. They made us a fantastic breakfast and were great in telling us about local things we could do. I'd definitely recommend staying here, it's like staying with a family but like a boutique hotel too.
