The Star - Pub & Carvery

Food 5 stars rated on price. For under or around a tenner the food is great for the price. GreenKing(the chain) food certainly better than BrewersFayre from my experiences. Kiddy friendly and can be a bit noisy at times, but quite quiet at others and you can usually find a quiet spot. Ordering from the table with the app is quick and is great for the lazy (including me). Staff always pleasant and welcoming and I'd recommend for a cheap and tasty meal and a drink. Not sure how badly the recent closure of the adjacent cinema will impact footfall as would be a shame if the place closed. Go grab yourself a well priced bite and help keep the place open.

Went here with a few friends before and after the Burnley v Chelsea game, nice clean pub with food that, although smelled very nice and appeared good value, I wasn't particularly hungry. Friendly bar staff who offered options for drinks offers. Very reasonable prices, quick service. The only downside was the plastic 'glasses' but I expect that was down to the local police. Security were very helpful and also very friendly. Would definitely recommend and I would return if Burnley (hopefully) stay up.

Went to visit Burnley Mechanics Theatre and called here before the show. Staff were helpful on arrival, 2 of us had the carvery the others going for something different. Food was served in what I felt was an appropriate time, not too quick where you felt it was sat there waiting and not too long, where you think where is my food. The gentleman on the carvery was really good, welcomed us, went through the options, good portions of meat served up. Wished us a good meal and hoped to see us again. Food was good quality and tasty. It is what it is, it's a carvery, a Roast Dinner and enjoyable for it as well.
