Cornerhouse Coffee

This place is pretty close the 5 stars, but they are not very good with orders. When we say give me my coffee in certain way, I expect one or 2 times getting it wrong but not every time. The staff is friendly and the place offers a cozy atmosphere with different options on rooms and chairs. There are coloring items for kids or adults. The coffee tastes great. The pastries are good too.

I hate to do this and really I want to give a lower star rating because of how bad it was but it used to be better. I always try and seek out local places when I'm away from home. This time was no different. I went to this place several times a year ago at their previous location and it was great. I gave it 2 attempts this week, having the regular house brew first and a latte the next time. I couldn't get through even half of either of them. I thought the house brew tasted old, dirty, and burnt. I was there around 11, so maybe it really was old. The next day I thought they would have to make a latte fresh but it tasted just as bad. Also, when asked what the house brew is like, telling me it's "like what you'd brew at your house" is not helpful at all. In fact, what I brew at my house is varied (usually a bag that I've picked up at a local place from around the country) but always delicious, unlike what I received here.

I'm visiting from out of town and I am usually a Starbucks all the way kind of person but I found this cute little place with great reviews and decided to give it a try. Very cozy place with a great atmosphere. Staff was really friendly and the coffee is amazing! Best chai latte I think I've ever had. I'll be back for sure!!!

The coffee is really good I am just really sad I will not be able to get my morning cup anymore because they have changed their opening time from 6am to 7am. Since they have opened I have bought over 50 coffees from them and was really excited to see a coffee shop in town, but sadly I will not longer get to reap the benefits. Since writing my initial post CornerHouse reached out to me and wanted to see if there was something they could do to help meet my early morning coffee fix. What business in 2016 does that? I have been recommending them since they opened and I will continue.
