The best public house to visit in basildon, without a doubt...family freindly and a great time with friends. A must for a good time, the staff are exceptional. A life long pub to grow old in! Sian & katrina.

This is a great pub thats hidden just off whitmore way. I love how friendly it is, the staff are so helpful and polite. The beer is reasonable they even have the green king season ticket where i got a complimentary pint, then an addidtional 10% discount when the footy or other sports are on. They have a huge screen to watch that on too. Def pop in and sample this gem for yourself!

I've been going into this little pub over a year now so changed my rating to a 5 as I've met some amazing friendly people in this pub. The staff are very helpful and polite. It has tvs everywhere, so perfect for the sports. Unfortunately they don't do food, but have a great selection of crisps :) it is hidden away in a nice residential area.

I drink in this little friendly pub most evenings as they have a great selection of beer and it's really cheap, nice, cold and refreshing after a hard day's work. The bar staff are very friendly welcoming and helpful. They offer free pool on a Monday and Thursday and good old fashioned bingo on a Wednesday all money goes to a fab charity, macmillan. They have a Facebook page, which shows upcoming events. They are a Green king oub so if you download the season ticket you get discount, absorbs of prizes too. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Good family pub. 4 generations of us. Played bingo. Great afternoon. Ages from 68yrs to 18 months. Made to feel very welcome. Every Wednesday.

Lovely local pub with friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable too! Popped in and free pool was available, the staff are very helpful, Tanya and Jess were on the bar. They told us about the greene king season ticket app so we got a free drink and then saved 10%. Thank you 😊

Excellent establishment, it’s a clean environment with friendly staff. Drink is very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is good too. I feel welcome every time I walk in the door, and the family friendly culture is what keeps me coming back. Its a thumbs up from me for the staff and this historical establishment.

I enjoy going there as I have noticed that beside the nice and polite staff, the pub is very clean compared with other pubs I have been lately and have good prices as well. On top of that they have free pool every Monday and Thursday. Also,they do loads of events during the weekends. I would recommend to he pub , and if you don't believe, go and see yourself :) !!!
