Austin's Pizza

How do you mess up pizza? We were surprised by how bad the food was here. From the crust, to the sauce, to the toppings. Everything was low quality. The pizza was lower quality than CiCi’s for 10x the price. We ordered a Cesar salad and the dressing was sickly sweet. Bread sticks were like cardboard with garlic powder sprinkled on top. It was inedible. We were willing to wait another hour and a half for another pizza place, that’s how bad this was. Pass on this place.

Placed an online order with Austin Pizza an hour out. Show up at the restaurant to pick up the pizza and am informed the pizza should be another 5 minutes. Waited for the pizza for an additional 25 minutes. They had not started the order and did not own up to it. As I become frustrated waiting for the pizza, watching other customers coming and going, an employee tells me not to get upset as I am becoming visibly upset (pacing around the order window) at their failure to admit their mistake, stating that they were busy. I did not raise my voice and asked to be left alone while I waited for my order. Pizza was okay when finally completed, but due to this experience, will not be ordering from them again.

Last time we ordered the pizza was cold and stale before we got it. This time I mentioned this and explicitly asked that the driver text us when they were leaving to deliver. They didn’t and the pizza was even worse this time. It was stone cold when we got it and even after re-heating it was tough and stale. We used to order a lot from them because they’re only 10 blocks away, but no more.

In Austin for a few days and decided to give Austin's Pizza a try and was pleasantly surprised. I had pizza and wife had a veggie calzone both were very good. Their pizza sauce and dipping sauce for the calzone had a nice bite to it, so better try it before adding crushed peppers. The outside of this location is pretty shabby, who cares as long as they serve good food. Will definitely return the next time I'm in Austin for a few days.

This was my first time ordering and from the Braker location. Pizza came on time, but delivery guy not so friendly. In addition, when I opened the box I was in shock to see the minimal toppings and size of the large pizza. I counted one tiny shred of a mushroom on each slice along with maybe 3 or 4 shredded black olives. With that said, I could have gone to HEB and bought a frozen pizza for $6 with normal toppings. The quality of the pizza was 7-11 pizza sitting on the heater for 10 hours.

I ordered a pizza and it took over 3 hours to be delivered. I waited 10 minutes on hold to talk to someone on the phone. When I finally reached them, they were extremely nice and refunded my order. They said they didn't have any available drivers, so they called a favor and had the favor delivered the pizza. Very nice of them, but the pizza was soggy and cold when it arrived.

Glad to see that the owners check the reviews. In the past, the pizza here has been pretty good for Austin. Two orders ago, my pizza wasn't very well done. So for my last order last month, I asked for my pizza to be well done. What I received was basically burnt and inedible. It never should have left the store for delivery. We had to wait another 40 minutes for the replacement. Then yesterday, I tried to call at 12:05 for an order. Their IVR told me I was 1st in queue. I waited 20 minutes for someone to pick up. Gave up, called again and I was again 1st in queue. After 10 minutes on hold the second time, I gave up and called iFratelli on W15th, and an actual human picked up the phone and took the order. And the pizza was excellent. They'll be my go-to place going forward.
