Great coffee, quality was high, good roasting, good range of beans available. Barista was knowledgeable about all the roasts.

Awesome coffee! Really good cookies too. Lots of space to work, with a really nice modern, organic decor. I ordered a 12oz mocha and a cookie. The mocha was amazing, and the cookie was even better!

Great ambiance to sit and relax. Good prices and vegan food options. Only complaint is that my friend's breakfast sandwich was still cold in spots

The staff are all coffee nerds and I love it. The deconstructed latte is definitely something to pull tourists in but actually I loved it, and when my friend and i split it and ordered more espresso to go with it they gave it to us free of charge, suggesting their favorite blends. Try it out! (I recommend the ethiopian roast if you're getting hand brew).

Visited for the first time. Bought two bags of coffee as local gifts for friends. They ground my coffee for me and the counter person was helpful in giving recommendations for usage/grind size. Also got some batch coffee. A bit expensive (~$3?), but really good coffee.

I have had genuine interactions with the baristas there every time. There's a manager there that is also very kind and I'm sure that's why the other folx working there are so wonderful. The coffee is why I walked in bc it's delicious but it's also super pleasant to see who's working and just make each other's day. I'm an industry person so I get it. Definitely recommend.

Slate is maybe one of the best coffee shops in Seattle. This can sometimes go to their heads, but if you’re polite, they usually will be too. The atmosphere isn’t the coziest, but I still come here to work for hours at a time. Lots of natural light and a good cup of coffee keeps me coming back.

Really good Expressos, there was an outlet to charge my phone. Minimalistic, hip and trendy is how I would describe this coffee shop. Rock music was playing at a low volume and pretty nice and clean bathrooms available upon request!

Hip, kitschy coffee shop popular with the student crowd. Coffee was excellent but the selection of baked goods was lacking. (Though the one ginger muffin-roll-thing that we had was terrific.) Staff are well-meaning if a little distracted.
