Mattenga's Pizzeria O'connor

Got home from a long work weekend and didn't want to cook. We much prefer to support Small Businesses and this was much easier than I was expecting. Delivery was prompt, food was hot, and the gentleman was friendly and kind. The best part was my son's face when he opened his pizza 😲 🍕 to the Massive slices of pepperoni! Great flavor & toppings.

I'm so glad we finally tried this place! It's in a nondescript strip mall by a gas station, so I'd been hesitating to try the pizza for the price. That's what I get for judging a book by its cover - the price point was excellent for the flavor, quality, and ingredients. Easily some of the best pizza I've had in San Antonio - we'll be regulars! The delivery driver was very friendly and deserved the tip!

Had delivery so can’t comment on the atmosphere. The pizza was delicious. I don’t eat pizza often but was really craving lots of pepperoni. I’d ordered triple pepperoni but got 1 serving of pepperoni on my pizza. Called and spoke to Chris, the general manager and he remade my order and personally delivered it in less than 30 minutes. Talk about unexpected and exceptional customer service! That’s rare these days and kudos to Chris. Will definitely order again.

This location is a little smaller, but regardless, we rarely sit down at pizza joints anyway. This is our families favorite pizza. They are involved with the schools, which I appreciate as a parent of 3. The ingredients are always fresh, and the Margherita pizza is the only thing I will eat without meat. Load up your pizza for pure delicious. Typically, it is only 15-30m based on date/time. They do tend to get much busier during holidays and some school events. It is on the upper end for pizza but you certainly get what you pay for here. Owner is always nice so overall best pizza joint in town in mine and my sons opinion.

First time trying Mattenga's. Ordered online and started driving. Order was completed just before I pulled up and was sitting in the warmer ready to go. Was in and out in less than 30 secs. System sent text while I was driving letting me know it was ready. The pizza (half meat lovers, half Santa Fe) was excellent. Only suggestion would be to add more of the excellent tomato sauce on it, as it had great taste, but there wasn't enough of it.

Pizza and pizza rolls were legit!! The Molto Meat calzone was Fire 🔥🔥🔥. Stopped at this place out of the blue. Was driving down highway, opened Google maps and typed pizza.. closest pizza place was here . Definitely will be back next time I'm visiting San Antonio on vacation.. and the custom sodas are definitely my jam!! I loves all cream, root beers, vanilla sodas etc..
