Moxies

Attended the location in March of 2022. The lady that greeted me at the front door was young and unfortunately didn't have a lot of personality. Seated in the dining room. It was quiet at the time and all was good. My waiter approached the table and took my order. Couple of small errors in the order and the way they presented the food. Later was pleasant but not overly talkative. The food itself was really good. It was hot and to the quality I would expect from Moxie's. Would have liked to have seen the wait staff a little more engaged and interested but other than that I would certainly return. It appears that the restaurant certainly would be a good spot to attend on the summer as it has a nice patio and an upper level.

It was a great experience. I had the basil salmon. The sauce was fantastic. Watch the salt, its a touch rich. Plating was ok, if it were me I'd add some greenery or a garnish but it's clean and the taste✔ 👨‍🍳 We didn't really have a steady server. And we were told that it may change. But the service was actually phenomenal we had access to basically anyone that passed and we were checked in on very regularly. It did lack the personal touch though. We were on the second floor. Thank you for your service servers. Great team work The salmon was quite rare. I will say I enjoyed it, but I'll add most people don't want a rare salmon, so tell the grill cook not to make that the go to and give it another minute .5 on each side. One of the better restaurant experiences I've had in Ottawa the past couple months.

I absolutely love Moxie's for every date night. The food is always amazing. I usually go to the Orleans location and it is absolutely every bit as good as the Gloucester location. The only thing I've noticed is that it's very dark in the downstairs area, more than ideal. Still, this place deserves its 5 star rating.

Horrible greeter at the door from the get go. We were 6 professionals who were treated like children. Table was dirty with drink marks and and food all over. We asked if they could clean it and a girl came with a wash cloth and didn’t do the best job so we cleaned it ourselves. You would think that due to Covid, they would be extra careful, but the attitude was awful and we felt like we were getting the silent treatment due to us asking for a bigger table. They tried to squeeze 6 people on a table that holds 4. The waiter with the long hair took our order for drinks and didn’t show up until 30 minutes later. One friend had to leave as she had an appointment so she didn’t get to eat. We received our food over an hour later and ended up almost 2 hours for the whole experience, knowing we had to go back to work. Waiter didn’t smile once and you could tell he had issues with anyone who was older as he dismissed us more than once when we tried to flag him down. People seated on the table adjacent received their food before us even though they arrived after us. Food I must say was excellent however with all the issues we had, it soured our outing. Will never go back again nor will we suggest your restaurant to any colleagues based on our terrible experience. It’s really a shame since the food is above average but it’s not worth the headaches. I suggest a little pep talk with the staff to change the mood in there. It’s extremely important to the success of your restaurant for the future. Thanks for listening.

Updating review since it's 2 years old. Went for supper with a few friends and everything was perfect from the hostess to the service and the food. Our server was bilingual and could switch depending on who he was addressing at the table... Moxie's Ogilvie will be a regular spot for us to me and have drinks and great food. Previous - Fast friendly service, nice atmosphere where you can have a normal level conversation and good food. We had a very nice lunch.

Went in yesterday with my son for a fun mid afternoon patio meal , I have met and seen a lot of people in my life and Krystal was super nice and top notch . Great asset for your restaurant. Very genuine person , great smile and great professional attitude while being able to converse in a work environment. I never leave reviews but really had to leave this one . Thanks again Krystal and sorry I missed our guessing game haha
