Caviar Russe

We came here to this Michelin star restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and it certainly delivered. The service was impeccable and the food was all out of this world delicious. Our favorites: the cocktails (wasabi one and the mezcal with cider), urchin and caviar, the sea bass with persimmons, the steak, and the baked Alaska with tumeric. These are the standouts to us. It's definitely costs a very pretty penny to eat here but if you are going to go all out, it didn't disappoint.

my fiancée and I felt in love with Caviar Russe from the first time we visited the restaurant for our anniversary in june. when it came to choosing a place where to propose I knew where to go. John and his team were absolutely amazing. they helped me decorate the room and create extremely beautiful experience for my fiancée and I. it was just perfect.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Caviar Russe, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we were greeted by our attentive waiter, Armando, it was clear that we were in for something special. The ambiance and attention to detail were on par with my previous experiences at renowned establishments like Eleven Madison Park and Daniel. What set Caviar Russe apart, however, was the staff's deep knowledge of the caviar industry. Their passion for caviar was evident in both the menu and their ability to guide us through the selection process. The dishes were exquisite, many of them infused with caviar in creative and tantalizing ways. The presentation was impeccable, with each plate elegantly showcasing the culinary artistry at work. Every bite was a revelation, and the tastings were some of the most innovative and delicious I have ever enjoyed. If you are a fan of caviar, or simply appreciate fine dining at its best, I highly recommend a visit to Caviar Russe. The attentiveness of the staff, the beauty of the venue, and the unique flavors of the menu make this a must-visit destination. I eagerly look forward to my return to this gorgeous establishment.

I came here for lunch and ate in their lounge/bar. I love caviar so I wanted to stop here while in NYC. It was fun to directly compare some of the different types and see which I liked best. We started with the classic caviar service which included 25g each of classic osetra, siberian sturgeon, and pacific sturgeon. My favorite was the osetra. We also got some other items such as the rock crab cornets, caviar baked potatoes, bluefin tuna bao buns, and "the golden egg". The caviar baked potatoes were insanely good and I could not get enough of the spicy bluefin tuna bao buns, they were the best bao buns that i've ever had! I really enjoyed each item that I had here, they even gave me some madelines since we were in NY celebrating my birthday!

No playful pun, no name-check for grandma—whoever christened this restaurant clearly wanted to attract a certain clientele. This is not the place where you should order by pointing vaguely at the menu—that way lies trouble as you may have to remortgage your home to pay for the 250 grams of Osetra caviar you’ve just inadvertently requested. Diners, however, will be pleased to discover they also offer more affordable options, like the Pacific sturgeon. On the menu, contemporary dishes show surprising delicacy with a pleasing bias for seafood. You get buzzed in at street level, which adds a bit of mystery to proceedings. Up the stairs and you're inside a lavish jewel box. The only thing missing is James Bond’s nemesis drumming his fingers on the table. Caviar Russe has earned a customer for life with me; our experience was nothing short of perfection. We came in for caviar, as it's very hard to find in our area, and we wanted to treat ourselves. Everything was beautifully presented, and we never waited for a drink or had less than 3/4 glass of water. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and has such a classy feel. We will continue to return when in NYC.

Caviar Russe has become one of the top high end restaurants to dine at in the entire city. There is certainly no better place to go if your a caviar lover. I've eaten here a handful of times over the years and feel that the experience has gotten better each time. The room is beautiful, the service is impeccable, and the food is outstanding. Also Caviar Russe has just taken space on the first floor that is a little more casual than the second floor dining room. I look forward to trying downstairs next time. In any event this restaurant is highly recommended and a must try!
