I can’t recommend this place enough! I came a couple of days back after It was suggested to me by a co worker for its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and it didn’t disappoint! The staff were very friendly and engaging, in particularly a curly brown haired lass though I’ve forgotten her name (apologies!), I was informed that the Sundays roasts here are also a must try so I look forward to returning to try one with my other half. - Karl

Popped in for a quick bite at lunch time, nice selection of drinks, very limited food menu. Opted for the burger, which was an absolute surprise, basically it was wonderful. It may be small but it packs a punch, I could have eaten several. Not somewhere I'd go for an evening dinner, but for lunch , excellent.

A really nice french styled restaurant (or bar). Reminds me of a brasserie with good food, drinks and atmosphere. It's got a beer garden out front and back, a babyfoot (table football) and service is friendly. The food menu looks a little over elaborate (miso sauces and emulsions) however the chef does it justice and pulls off the flavours well. Steak frites is also available and a lovely generous portion is provided. It's relaxed and a lovely place for a meal. Cosy.

Yet another 5-star restaurant. This french inspired restaurant packed a punch, with its rich flavours and relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff. For my main I had the Stake-fritas with the mushroom sauce. For the steak I asked for medium-rare, it was on the rarer side, but I don't mind that. The mushroom sauce that came with it was a really nice touch and it was a pleasant surprise that the sauce wasn't as rich as the other sauces I had and didn't overpower the core flavours that the steak had to offer, the fries were good and seasoned well. We also had the Black lentil almond dahl with crispy tofu. This was presented well, but I didn't taste it, but they said it was incredible. We also had the fish (monk fish) again was presented well, but didn't taste, and yet again they said it was outstanding. Finally for the mains we had the Braised short rib, this was tender and was like butter in your mouth, and the aligote potatoes were done to perfection, with strong notes of garlic and cheese as there should be. For the desserts, we had a try of all the deserts put together, starting with the rice pudding with drunken fruit. This was warm and very comforting, it really made you feel like you were at home. The. The bruléed bananas with the ice cream and sauce really hit the sweet spot, the texture was perfect and was very satisfying. Finally we had the Chocolate Orange mousse which was very rich and smooth with perfect hits of orange. All of the meals were close to perfect and the atmosphere was amazing, with great music taste and the laid back vibes really makes you relax and enjoy the great food they serve there. The refined menu gave a classy edge to the place, and if you want brilliant authentic french food COME HERE. Pictures down below :)

Really nice place to get some drinks and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's in door seating and outdoor seating towards the back, which is partly covered with a canvas shelter. There's also electric heaters and unlike other heaters these actually keep you warm. If anything there like looking at a nuclear bomb detonation - but you soon get quite accustomed to it. PROS - Decent outdoor space - Wide range of drinks available - Dogs are welcome (not sure indoors but definitely at the outdoor seating at the back) - Food is nice CONS - Not a lot of vegetarian or vegan options available, except for a couple of starters and fries.

Superb, I don't give many 5 stars. The food here is excellent from the main menu, to Sunday Roast, to a cheeky bowl of frogs legs. The flavours are fantastic in what is such an unassuming bar. Food prices somewhat reflect this, but you are buying quality. Decor is quirky without being kitsch, and there's a good atmosphere here. The rear garden space is well decorated as a little bolt hole round the back and a surprising little addition.

Came in a couple of times now, this time we had Sunday lunch. All I can say is I used to be a chef, and this was one of the best Sunday lunches I've had for a long time! Modern yet still holds all the flavour of a traditional Sunday roast! Superb! Place was awesome too with a really cool seating area at the back. Great staff, great food, great place.

Went in for food knowing nothing about this place and was blown away! Such friendly and helpful staff, FANTASTIC food, charming decoration. Food not cheap, definitely restaurant rather than bar prices, but it's properly great. Menu is short, which I usually take to be a sign of a good chef and fresh ingredients! Big portions, absolutely delicious and non-greasy. Definitely going back.

A true gem of a place. The staff are bloody lovely, knowledgeable and great at recommending dishes or drinks to compliment the food. It's a really relaxed place, the music is great and the food delicious. On the few times I've visited recently its felt cosy, welcoming and homely. I would highly recommend.
