Took my granddaughter for lunch on her 21st birthday, she had never been before. She loved it! Food was delicious, she had never had deep fried ice cream and absolutely loved it. Our server Michelle was wonderful. Would definitely return.

Great food, great service and great prices! Their deep fried ice cream is to die for! Amazingly good food. Came here on Valentines Day one year with my then-boyfriend and had a wonderful experience! The food was great, the service was great and friendly and the environment was memorable. I had a great time!

The server walked me to my favourite table when I go on my own. He was curtious and kind. He made sure we, the customers, were okay without overdoing it.
I never had the cheese soup before. The same server asked if I would like a sample to try it, and I like it. Try the cheese soup, it's good. It has a wee bit of heat to it, but at the same time, you can enjoy it without burning your mouth/throat. I added some of the free tortilla chips to the soup. It was nice to sit back after a week of work, to listen to the music and light chattering, filling up the room sipping my lime margarita. 😊
I like how Under the Volcano kept the seating from the previous restaurant.
It's a bit of nostalgia to remember from back in the day, giving it that retro feeling. Plus, they're comfortable, well, to my bum, they are.
Thank you to the staff and management.

I had this restaurant on my list of places to eat for about 15 yrs and finally was able to go. This is family operated and I felt so welcome with my family. They serve authentic Mexican cuisine with incredibly big portions and it’s deliciously favourable. I cannot say anywhere else in London Ontario beats this place. If you’re looking for a modern up to date building this isn’t it…it’s cozy and I’d say for a group of 5-8 max can dine in comfortably but it’s not very spacious. The food was fresh, hot, and perfectly on time!

This restaurant is on our list of must eat. We love the food and atmosphere. The waitress staff are quick and confident and make amazing suggestions. Food options available for meat lovers, vegetarian, and gluten-free. Great at accommodating for many dietary needs.
Fabulous food and atmosphere.

Although I was a little hesitant about Mexican food, I visited Under The Volcano today.
Before I could order anything, my server brought me some complementary chips and salsa. These were enjoyably crunchy and seasoned with spices.
I decided to get the Chimichanga for my main. It was a tortilla folded into something like a burrito. Within it, there was cheese, sour cream, chopped tomatoes, and shrimp. I savoured every bite of its cheesey goodness. I had two sides to go with my Chimichanga: rice and fries. The rice did not suit my personal taste. However, the fries were packed with great flavour.
Now, the atmosphere. The interior is colourful and fun. It is decorated with Mexican culture, from paintings on the walls to plants to sombrero hats and to even a toucan ornament. When you eat here, you are immersed in a Mexican experience.
Under the Volcano is an outstanding restaurant, the perfect place to bring your kids or celebrate a birthday. I made the right choice by coming here… and so should you!

Tasty chicken fajitas. The prices are not small. The service is good. But the overall feeling is of more of a fast food place. Plastic dishes, decor falling apart. But still I recommend this place.

Sorry for the half done tequila sunrise, it was so good I couldn't wait. I went here with my cousin and we got the celiac chips cause she's gluten intolerant, but they where so good, teaste like regular chips. I got the chimichanga, and she got the gluten free barito. It took a half hour wait but it was really good. It wasn't too busy but maybe they where short staffed who knows

Another enjoyable experience at this London staple. Delicious drinks, apps and dinners. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Prices very reasonable too. A fun restaurant for a friend meet up.
Only suggestion is smaller or lighter appetizers so we could have had room for dessert 😋

Excellent service. I have very specific dietary needs and they were completely able to make a custom order for me. The menu item entitled "The Big One" is supposed to include tomatoes, beans, and cheese. I can't eat tomatoes peels or beans and I have a dairy sensitivity, so our waitress (I believe her name is Emily), who was very well-informed about what they put into their food, was able to make suggestions to me of what I could eat. They were able to make "The Big One" for me with rice, taco beef, and caramelized onions. It was actually quite good; I really appreciated the effort to accommodate my dietary needs!
