Bar + Block Steakhouse Glasgow

My first time going, o/h had been 3 or 4 times.with friends The chicken, dear lord the chicken is absolutely beautiful/tender. I always loved a half roast chicken but so many places stopped selling it. O/h got the steak. Others got the ultimate so the chicken, bit of beef, bit of lamb. Our other guest had lamb. Gravy pots are really small but can ask for more. My roast potatoes were really drink but I got more gravy. Got a side of pigs in blankets and the mushrooms. So nice. Water for the table, they didn't sell pepsi max (my fave) but do have diet coke. We booked. Toilets are upstairs but they have a disabled downstairs. Beautiful interior, big, lovely design. Staff really nice, repeat drinks took a while to come for with the food and it wasn't overly busy but otherwise great and would certainly go back 4.5/5. They also have a boozy brunch style menu £30 for drinks (cocktails) and food, think I saw cheesy bites so we will need to check that out sometime.

Place was pretty quiet for a Saturday evening which was surprising as we had a lovely meal and service was great. Staff were attentive and prompt with any requests and drink refills. We had the three small plates to start, beef burnt ends were incredible! And two different cuts of steaks and various sides for main, loved it all. Regretfully losing one star on service as what I think was the manager made a cheeky remark within our earshot about the waitress who took our booking and seated us to another member of staff, which wasn’t ideal. All other staff we dealt with were friendly and professional, we will be back!

Booked a "discreet " table for me & my Fiancée for our first time here. The service was top notch and the "chateau briand " was to die for! Throughout the 3 hours we were there,our service was pleasantly attentive without being intrusive. We enjoyed some brilliant cocktails and a lovely bottle of wine. I would give this restaurant a 12 out of 10, for both service and food! The restaurant is equally suitable for large parties ( office/ Christmas) as well as for couples. We will be returning to try out the afternoon, lunch menu. Look this place up on t'internet and you will be blown away!

I was there for my birthday with my dinner with my fiance & we had a couple of cocktails, lovely food & we shared a bottle of fizz, which was really nice. We had great service & the atmosphere was good as well. When we went into Bar + Block restaurant, there was a female singer on & she was really good. I would go back again, but maybe go for lunch during the day. Excellent restaurant & Excellent food.

I had a good experience. Admittedly, I came during non-peak time to have some food and drinks by myself. I was seated immediately in the booth area (very comfy). I decided to have 3 starters instead of a main. I chose the beef burnt ends, garlic prawns and Korean chicken wings. Washed it down with 2 glasses of rose prosecco. The food was lovely. Its shame I didn't take any pics but I'll be back again for pics. I definitely recommend just based on the quality of the starters and the service. I probably would come at a non peak time again - I think this place is quite popular in the evening because its right beside (and connected to) to the Premier Inn Hotel

It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I'll definitely be back. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and not in the least impatient while my friends and I made our choices. There was plenty of choice on both the food and drink menus, and when the food arrived, it was fantastic quality and tasted amazing. I have nothing negative to say about Bar + Block, definitely a 5 star experience.

Big, open shed of a place. Music loud. We thought the food good, and it came quickly. Bizarrely, the food arrived well BEFORE our drinks, for which we had to ask, twice. Service was pleasant and with a smile. Prices not too steep. There were at least four working behind the bar, so I don't know what the issue was.

I am so glad we stopped in here. This is a premo eatery for sure. The service we received from our waitress "Atrin" was very friendly and unforgettable, thank you. The chef's produced us absolutely delicious meals The dinosaur ribs are to die for 110% Well done fellas. Top job 🍻 Thanks so much 👍 Good food good wine good staff Really good enjoyable place.
