Oh my goodness, this was so bad. I'll start with the "good" stuff first: the wall mural was really pretty and cool and the strudel was average.
The coffee, horrible. I had a cappuccino (worst thing that I have EVER disgraced my mouth with) and my husband had a latte (also awful).
The milk was overheated which just tainted the flavor, the espresso was watered down and didn't taste good to begin with. The employees weren't wearing hairnets or restraining hair when working with food. Just gross.

We have family near by so we aren't typical weekend visitors. I asked mom where I could get a killer mocha she said Java Ranch was the ticket.
My wife promptly sent me out the door on a busy Sunday morning to fetch her a cup of white gold.

The line was crazy long....but moving. The girls running the counter kept with a constant stream of customers and smiled all the while. The White chocolate mocha and hot chocolate were excellent as was the cinnamon roll. Very good and despite the large number of folks, a very good over all experience. I think I'll head over now actually.

Please don't eat here, powdered eggs, tasteless tortillas, but decent coffee. Skip the food...just get coffee

DO NOT EAT HERE! Coffee was great but microwaved powdered eggs and processed cheese was definitely not worth $15. Go to Andy's diner for a plate worth your $.

Best QuickTime breakfast we had on our whole trip. Our b&b gave vouchers for breakfast and we tried this one on the last day. Wish we discovered it sooner. You can get a full breakfast here for around $8. Nice to have a full breakfast after days of continental. Great service! Cute decor.

Good coffee. Opens a 7 am, a rarity in Fredericksburg, and a much appreciated one for visitors!

My husband and I were Disappointed with our coffees. Both the drip and espresso were very weak and my mocha lacked flavor, tasting mostly of warmed milk. Based on past reviews, perhaps it was a fluke, but definitely not worth the 15 minute wait in line.

Best coffee in Fredericksburg...possibly all of Hill Country!. Made this my morning ritual for the week I was in town.
D@mn fine brew, opened up my eyes and sparked my brain.

Cranberry scones were very good...better than the strudel.

Better that Starbuck's and NOT as pricey.

Good Joe, Bad Food. Do not buy breakfast here. Unless you like powdered eggs and frozen sausage patties warmed in a microwave.
This place has the same breakfast stuff Holiday Inn Express gives you for free. Nevermind paying TOP dollar for this garbage. Worst breakfast EVER!
Get a coffee and leave.

An Italian Roast to Wake Up For. Fredericksburg has become a place for the conniseur of the finer things. A great place to relax with a great bottle of wine in a friendly, slow-paced atmosphere. But don't overlook Java Ranch and its "fabuloso" Italian Roast coffee.

This cup of coffee is worth an early rise to get. This coffee wakes up the palette with a rich, yet polite combination of flavors--from oak to cinnamon to a spicy sweetness on the after taste. It is piping hot from the thermos, which is the way I like my coffee. I usually don't like it once it begins to cool. However, this coffee gets better as it cools. The richness is more pronounced, the sweet aftertaste enhanced. It is a robust blend without the acidity of French Roast; but it is not for the faint of heart. The swirl of its complex flavors had me wanting more...and more... and more.

I will certainly be back in Fredericksburg soon for its charm and its wine. The day, however, will most certainly begin with a wake-up trip to Java Ranch and their Italian Roast coffee.
