Sammy's Charcoal Chicken

I went to store today about 11.30am and I expected to beat lunch time crowd. Most full chickens in window burnt so I chose least burnt. To my surprise... fell apart and even stuffing was so watery - YUK (about 1 tablespoon at max of Stuffing just rolled out of chicken - so watery- YUK) I could have done better. Very very poor quality. Fed some to the dog and had some in sandwich... the rest is just over-cooked in the bin (there is nothing left - 1 adult and 1 small dog * all rest burnt to a crisp....YUK. This shop was a go to for Christmas Lunch NOW I would avoid based on today's experience. Coles Roasted Chicken YUM

I’ve been here twice and the each time I have witnessed the lady behind the counter who I assume is the owner speaking to her young school aged female staff in a rude manner and with no respect. I honestly feel sorry for her staff. The lady doesn’t even acknowledge me either. She also purposely charged me more for 3x packs of chicken and chips . I asked for 3/4 chicken plus a serving of chips on the side, I worked out this would have cost less. Altogether $33 for not even a whole chicken ( which is also dry), chips and a serving of roast vegetables. I didn’t say anything as I felt very uninvited as a customer in this store and decided I will never ever come here again. To sum this place up it is dodgy with charging, terrible customer service and dry chicken. Eltham is beautiful but not Sammy’s Charcoal Chicken!

First time customer here and definitely the last time, purchased chicken and chips, the chicken was so dry and inedible and the skin was dry and shrivelled, thanks for giving me a chicken that had obviously been sitting out for a long time. The chips were over priced and way over cooked. I ended up throwing the entire meal out. What a complete waste of money. The chicken at Coles and Woolies is way more moist, tender and better value for money. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. The staff were ok, they greeted me when I walked in then when I ordered, they went back to their conversation.
