The Ionian

Really good pizza, the shop now takes card payment, so we'll be visiting a lot more :) They also have great food staters, garlic bread, olives, etc The shop also sells earrings, picture frames, from local creators as well as vegetables and eggs, also fresh and local. Lots of outdoor seating as well as a few indoor tables. Well worth a visit if you're passing on the A38 Still a great place and even more desserts too! Still as awesome as ever!

Just stopped bye whilst out and about. Totally unplanned stop but decided to have lunch at this out of the way place, turned out to be a great stop off and the best pizza I've had for a very long time, cooked on a wood fired pizza oven, a very unusual rural setting for a pizza and Mediterranean restaurant/cafe It's a very laid back joint and food comes served in a box with wooden cutlery etc very eco based place if you're looking to keep Greta happy, can't fault the food, service and setting..Highly recommend man...lol. The guy that posted 4 days ago giving 1 star ago should open his eyes, the big building down the track on the left is nothing to do with it. One thing could do with improving, the toilet needs a hygiene sign telling people to leave it clean!!!! Cleanliness is next to Godliness!!!!...Posh folk with Bentleys expecting silver cutlery will not be happy though..🤪

Had a fantastic time here, came with the family (extended and all), and had a delicious meal, good variety of choices, and plenty of space outside if the weather permits! Service was fantastic as they dealt with our many orders. The farm shop has amazing local produce and is well worth the money, and you get to support local business! Would highly recommend the gyros in all of its forms! The photo is of a field behind the outside seating, stunning views all around, nothing better than the countryside!

The Ionian is the perfect place for drivers on a long journey to stop at, or people staying / camping nearby. The surroundings are beautiful, filled with fields littered with sheep. The food is delicious, simple cheap and greek. Would highly recommend the gyros but if you're fancying the pizza is also outstanding. All very reasonably priced and would highly recommend.

We discovered The Ionian when the place we originally planned to visit turned out to be closed on Sundays. My wife and I love Greek and Mediterranean food, The Ionian didn’t disappoint. Definitely the most authentic Greek food and atmosphere we’ve experienced in the UK, and as good as some of the best food we’ve had in Greece / Greek islands. We had bread and dips followed by gyros, both were amazing. Best to order food in advance (we’ll know for next time).

Authentic Greek dishes served fresh from the wood fired oven. The interior has a real rustic artisan feel with a range of produce, drinks (beers) and ice creams. In addition to handmade crafted items such as necklaces, hats, scarfs etc. For me, the food tasted authentic and was similar to food I've eaten while on holiday on Greek islands. The espresso smelt great, but not as strong as I would have liked. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall a great place to stop for lunch and maybe pick something unique and hand made.
