We had the fish and chips. Fish was cooked very well, very light and soft white Fish with minimal batter and not oily or greasy. Chips were pretty good and the gravy had an oriental twist to it - maybe something they cook it with similarly - was a nice surprise.

Very polite service, good fish and chips, the best gravy in Cumbria it must be made with spare ribs /onions etc.. it is a meal on its own.

Visited a few times now, trying both the fish and chips and Chinese food. Their chips, gravy sauce and chicken chow mein are all lovely and would definitely go there over the other fish and chip / Chinese takeaways in Cockermouth.
When visiting we’ve had free portions of mini vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers which were also very nice.

Really lovely and very tasty freshly cooked haddock with chips. Very reasonable price, and pleasant staff. Only drawback was they only took cash, so be prepared.

Went there on a whim. Only 4 people allowed in the shop at a time. Queued for a short while outside. Once inside order was taken swiftly and food was quickly ready. There was a very generous portion of chips and the fish was large in size. The food was very hot and not in any way unpleasant. Overall very enjoyable.
