Wonderful place with brilliant service and amazing food! Booked in advance to have an afternoon tea and it was just amazing. Great balance of sweet and savoury which is hard to come by. Go and visit!

The best place for a meal in Cockermouth. Quality, tasty, fresh, homemade, good selection, and such good value. The milkshakes are delicious. The coffee and hot chocolate could be better. The staff are polite and attentive and the cook is skilled and efficient. My dog is allowed inside. Love Lanes café.

Found this place by sheer dumb luck and what a surprise it was. From the moment you enter the staff are friendly and welcoming. The place was spotless and homely. I ordered the mega breakfast, chips and black coffee. The food was cooked to perfection and of a really good quality. The portions were way bigger than I imagined ( see photo ) cannot fault any part of the dining experience. Found by accident but will be visiting regularly from now on. Highly recommend a visit or 3

We absolutely loved this place, we wanted poached eggs but came too late, only wanted a light snack as going out for an evening meal, how lovely to share a brie and cranberry sandwich with crisps and salad, soooo tasty. Had a black coffee and mam had tea for one so lovely, helpful staff, very accommodating and the toilet was a disabled one so my 91 year old mam was over the moon! Weve been before but we will definitely be returning, it had alot to choose from and nice prices ! Dog friendly too

What a lovely find! Couldn't believe the size of the cream tea. We had to take some away with us. Food was excellent 😁
