Goddess And The Baker, Brookfield

For the most part desserts are delicious 😋. However I do find their prices to be pretty high. Food is good too but last time I ordered chicken tenders and fries for my daughter the chicken was extremely dry. It's like they had been reheated twice over. So when you took a bite it was hard and dry. The batter on the chicken was super crunchy, dark and hard. We also ordered hot chocolates which is ridiculously over priced! Overall the place is good. Atmosphere is loud and busy. Hard to find a seat at times. Also the tables aren't cleaned fast enough even though the last couple of times the woman walking around clearing dishes off the tables made me feel rushed. Once I got up she didn't even clean/wipe the table.

Our whole experience was just ok. I ordered a vanilla chai tea latte and a breakfast croissant. The chai was nothing special and I couldn't taste the vanilla at all. The breakfast sandwich had decent flavor but was more greasy than I anticipated. My husband ordered a salted caramel latte which he said just was not good and the chicken and waffles. The chicken had good flavor but the waffle was overcooked. We both felt that it was overpriced for the quality of the food we received. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the ambiance is nice. We didn't try any of the bakery. Overall it was ok nothing we would be in a hurry to come back to.

I highly recommend Goddess and the Baker in Brookfield. My daughter needs Gluten and Dairy Free food/drinks. The manager Genevieve and her staff were very knowledgeable and recommended which foods were gluten/dairy free. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was very clean and our food was excellent. Thank you Genevieve and staff for a great experience. We will definitely be back soon.
